The house located at 207 ELLIOTT. The Unit is 900 Sq Ft. The place is remodeled with cathredal ceiling. . The location is great, right next to everything..1 blk from the coal tower and historical train..2 blk to the farmers market, chinook pier, marinas, and boardwalk going to waterfront staduim you can watch musical fountain every night and you can easily walk going to the beach. 3 blocks away from the washington street located by the museum, shops and restaurants.
This rental was more than amazing that I have no idea where to begin to describe. The rooms were spacious and clean. Enough room for even 12 people. The price can't be beat - for this house is in walking distance to downtown, farmer's market, parks, pier and more.
It may not be the most updated rental but it had everything we needed and more. The rental has a washer and dryer, kitchen with oven, stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, two tvs (one in living room is a smart TV), balcony in the front and another in the back, patio area with plenty of seat, gas grill, table and bonfire.
Our family had so much fun and the kids loved the parks nearby, playground, docks and the musical light up fountain show.
Phil the owner was just the best. Very responsive and welcoming. He made sure our stay was comfortable.
The PROs are plenty. As for the cons- very minor, is the rental needs updated is the two sofa beds. They were not comfortable as pull outs. So bring your blanket/ comforter to place on top for cushion. Other than I recommend this rental. This is our go to now when we come to visit family.
Thank again Phil for the wonderful hospitality.
Our stay was very nice. Kids loved it, especially the bunk beds. Description was accurate. This is an old style home with few updates, but that is how it should be. Wooden floors were beautiful. Loved having a dishwasher in the kitchen. Nice to have a barbecue also. Property was overall clean. Owner stopped by to provide extra soap, etc., in case we would need it and to chat with us about what would be good to visit and suggested fun things for the kids to do. We already recommended the property to friends who said they would look into it for next year. We took the kids to Michigan's Adventure but our mistake was going on a Friday. The lines were aweful for such youngsters in summer hot weather. Go on Monday through Thursday if planning to go. The beach at the State Park was great, lots of waves...be careful of currents though when waves are high. One restaurant was good for appetizers, not so good for main course...it was across from the Fountain that lights up with music at night. Board walk is nice but walk it closer to sundown when it's not so hot. Farmers Market has local grower produce and flowers. Didn't get to ride the trolley, maybe next time. Could have done a lot more if we stayed more, but I had limited number of days off work. May visit again in the near future. Thanks goes out to the owners for accommodating us for the few days we needed to stay. Grand Haven is a great family place.
The Brown house was a Great place to stay. Very clean, large and would sleep 8 people. Philip the owner, was very nice and let us bring our two dogs, how had great times at the dog park and dog friendly beach. I would and will stay here again. Quick walk to the downtown and very short drive to the beach. Great restaurants and bars. Thank you again, Philip.
We stayed in the upstairs of this house. My husband and I have 2 young boys. It was very nice and plenty of space for the four of us! It's an older house but very well kept. There was no one in the downstairs while we were there so it was super nice to be able to have the small backyard to ourselves. It's on a very quiet street just walking distance from things like the musical fountain. You still would want to drive or bike to the beach though because that is a little farther. But only a 3-4 minute drive. There are 3 actual beds available and a pull out couch. We did not use the pull out couch so I cannot comment as to how that was. The beds were good though and I believe all queen or larger. Nice place for the money - not luxury - but nice, clean, and perfect for a family like us!
