Thanks for the wonderful week at your mountain home. We made a lot of family& friend memories to cherish forever, late night lounging on the deck and in the hot tub. The kids enjoyed the game room, everything was perfect. Thank you for one of our best vacations...so relaxing...we loved it.

6 out of 5 stars! Best vacation rental home ever!

  • 5 of 5

We were more than pleased with our stay at this lovely home. It has everything you could imagine and more. Tons of space, thousands of feet of deck which overlook beautiful scenery, there was deer corn on site to feed the deer every evening and every morning. The deer are there like clockwork. This house has three levels, and on the bottom level there are tons of activities from boardgames, foosball, pool, television, bar, darts and more! And don't forget the amazing hot tub which is right outside of all of these activities. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and everybody in our group was extremely pleased. Everything was clean, and the place has a very unique lodge feel with unique decor as well as three fireplaces. You can tell this couple put a lot of time effort and love into this home. It was also nice to be so far up in the mountains yet only about 10 miles from town and the casino. Once you are back at the house, you would never know you were that close to the city. We also saw elk on the golf course. Just an amazing place overall, and you can't beat the price. The photos do not do it justice, I would encourage anybody to rent this vacation home. I know we will be back for sure!

Thank you so much!

Wonderful Family Place

  • 5 of 5

This was a very welcoming and homey place to spend time with our family. Lots of room and things to do. We were there for the Cowboy Symposium, but in retrospect we all wish we had spent most of our time there and less at the Symposium. It was just very relaxing.

Needs some work

  • 3 of 5

I want to commend the owners of this property for their customer service because while our stay wasn't as good as it could have been the owners of this property made every effort to compensate us for our problems we encountered at their home. Our problems were taken care of quickly and the owners were friendly and timely under difficult circumstances. In all fairness I couldn't write a good or a bad report without giving the owners a fair chance to fix the issues we encountered at their property. I can only say that the owners are good people and they tried to do the right thing for us, their customer.

Owner's Response: Thanks to our Georgia guests for their many calls and emails during the stay. We apologize for the series of events that led to these remarks and poor review. We make no excuses, but wish to clarify that Ruidoso has hard water which leaves stains on the cleanest dishes and utensils, and that he thin air at our 7500 feet elevation sometimes requires our clothes dryer two cycles to completely dry loads. We had our septic tank serviced in February, the first time necessary in four years, and were surprised that you encountered odors outside. We called for service the minute you contacted us and were told the tank was re-serviced within a couple of hours. We just returned from a week at our cabin and made sure the dusty upstairs bathroom window screen was cleaned, and have asked our caretakers to not use a fragrant cleaner in the bathrooms and kitchen. Had we known of your sensitivity we would have asked our caretakers to use an odor-free cleaner. We are openly embarrassed that you had to contact us, the first guests in over five years to do so. It is obvious your expectations were not met. We hope our reponses were expedient and satisfactory. Thanks, Jim & Dinah.

This house is fantastic. Has all the accommodations needed and so much more.

  • 5 of 5

This property is every bit as good as advertised. We have stayed many places in Ruidosa, but this is by far the best. The downstairs game room area is a great place to sit and relax, read a book or play cards and pool. The rest of the house was roomy enough for the two couples that traveled with us and each couple could have a complete floor and bathroom to their selves. This was a great place to stay to enjoy the comfort and view, to enjoy all that Ruidosa has to offer. The deck space is fabulous and where we spend all of our mornings talking and enjoying the wildlife that comes to visit.

Thank you Jim and Dinah for letting us stay at your house. We will be back.

Owner's Response: We couldn't have said it any better. We as the owners (and our kids and grandkids) can hardly wait to come back after each visit to our mountain getaway. We realize that many VRBO'ers are skeptical about flowery reviews, but really people, we don't influence the comments in any way; the experience does. It's a fantastic place to escape, enjoy the mountain air, experience the wildlife and take in the spectacular views of the alpine forest and mountain peaks, all seasons. Thanks for staying. Great Place in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay, and we enjoyed the cabin once again. The hummingbirds and other various birds were fun to watch with our morning coffee. Our two grandchildren enjoyed the abundant deer population. Of course the basement game room was a big hit with everyone. We hope to stay again in the future.

Owner's Response: We just love second comers, and we have many. They're a testament to what our mountain home has to offer, and the allure to come back time and again. Family and friendship memories are made here. Thanks, Jim & Dinah

Great property with plenty of room for a group. Clean and well furnished

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three nights at this property and it accommodated our group very well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well furnished and clean and the views from the deck where amazing. We had zero problems during our stay and would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to enjoy a few days in Ruidoso.
