About Pablo González

My wife Fernanda and I where missionaries out of the country, now we are back in México.

Why Pablo González chose Acapulco

We decided to get this property to have an income and support other missionaries in their work. Also we like to use it to have getaways, church retreats, guest speakers etc…

What makes this house unique

"La Casa del Abuelo" is very centrally located, being right in front of the beach and very close to Down Town.

With a porch overlooking the ocean we really enjoy the lovely sunsets we can admire every evening.

Value for your money

  • 4 of 5

To make my review perfectly clear, it is important to note the difference between value and price. If we were to stay in San Diego on the beach the cost would be well in to the $2000.00 plus for a weeks stay. Our stay at Casa de Abuelos was only $660. We love ensenada and I intend to retire there one way or another. We spent our week enjoying the location and looking at options to buy in the future.

Pros: Great location!. Municipal beach 1 block away, best weather in the entire country of Mexico without a doubt. Gated safe community, Pablo and wife were very helpful upon our arrival to make sure all was in order for our week. Ensenada is a fantastic community with every imaginable convenience including Costco, Home Depot, Wal Mart, and local businesses with some of the most friendly people in Mexico

Cons: Not the Hilton hotel so expect private residence with all the normal problems that go along with that. There was no Hot water in the kitchen. The property is older and requires some tender loving care if it were to be lived in full time. The TV in the bedroom was an old model that just did not work properly as it had a dark picture that was unwatchable. The bedding was not up to my standards. Terrible cheap foam mattress that hurt my back. Old carpet that if it were removed completely would be better. On a major street so there was a lot of road noise. The lot in front of the home is a rental property for major local events. We saw a VW car show that was noisy and a traveling carnival set up on our last few days that was also noisy. The entire community is an old trailer park that many have built structures around their trailer so it seems there is everything from the good, the bad, and the ugly.

My opening was about value so we would stay here again. I would bring my own TV, my own memory mattress and those little things would make all the difference in the world. I can live with the noisy location as both my wife and I love the vibrant Mexican lifestyle and culture and enjoyed life passing us by everyday.

Nice home

  • 4 of 5

The home was great, but I just have a suggestion, please upgrade your kitchen ware and some other items like paper towels and toilet paper to be available to the guest.

and won't hurt to check out the shower sewer. In general our staying was fun. :D

The water is about 100 yards from the house, there are no buildings between the house and the beach, but there is a street which is lower than the house, so it does not obstruct the view.

From the house you will be able to see dolphins in the ocean,

grey wales (in winter months) and the cruise ships as they enter or exit the port of Ensenada.

The tourist section of the city is only 1 mile from the house,

where you will find restaurants, shops, bars, and night clubs. The famous bufadora is a short 30 minute drive south from the house.

You can do: golfing, fishing, whale watching tour, surfing, boating, jet-skiing, kayaking, shelling, ATV, horse-back riding, adventure excursions, wine tasting and vineyards tours, shopping, restaurant and nightlife.
