A roomy-cozy home with 3 bedrooms & 2 full baths. Speed Wi-Fi.
A complete kitchen with all the needed accessories (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cookwares, plates, cups, glasses, utensils), a wide lounge room where to watch cable T.V. or enjoy the beautiful sun setting on the ocean while a spectacular full of lights ocean cruiser leaves local harbor.
Located in a private comunity overlooking the Ensenada Beach. The property is centraly located just a few blocks from downtown where all food types restaurant, shops, markets and nightlife takes place. 1 mile north of Walmart, Costco, Applebees, Burger King, Movie Theaters and Home Depot. Just perfect for family and friends vacations.
My wife Fernanda and I where missionaries out of the country, now we are back in México.
We decided to get this property to have an income and support other missionaries in their work. Also we like to use it to have getaways, church retreats, guest speakers etc…
"La Casa del Abuelo" is very centrally located, being right in front of the beach and very close to Down Town.
With a porch overlooking the ocean we really enjoy the lovely sunsets we can admire every evening.
Our family of 6 stayed at "La casa del abuelito" for spring break 2017. It was surprisingly homey and comfy compaired to other places perviously booked. It was a perfect distance from the usual touristy downtown. We were able to uber downtown for only $ 2.50. The beach view is beautiful and breathtaking from the back patio. It is a secured residential community with a perfect balance of tourist and local residents. It was easy to find but hard to get into without knowing that there was a sliding wooden gate that only opens with a clicker (which we recived upon arival) So we parked outside on the street and walked in thru the side gate which is always supervised by a watchman. Our host were super hospitable, a husband and wife team. They did a walk thru with us, told us all the good restaurants to eat at, what food carts are the best, where to change money currencies and best place to shop for cheap. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and presentation of the 2 room/2bath. Its not a 5 star hotel setting but it is a homey comfortable place to stay. Bedding had nice clean matching linen on a comfotable matress, plenty of towels, dishs, cooking ware, nice home decor, pleanty of space for kids to play, seating for eating and living space and wifi was excellent.
The best part of this trip was the view!! With a lit up carnival at night and the sunset on the beach right across from us we couldnt miss one sunset while staying here. Access to the beach is walking distance across the street. We went to the Country bar cantina and it felt like a locals spot. The manager called to recommend a trampoline spot "brinca" (jump)right down the street, walking distance. It was very affordable and all the kids and some of the adults in our group had a blast. They also had "miches" right outside the entrance that served us the best bloody beer you have ever tasted.
Over all I would recommend this place for anyone that is looking for a comfortable home to vacation in away from the busy downtown.
If I would have to mention a negative it would be shower water temp. Which im sure is not the owners fault. Warm water is limited so keep that in mind if you have your heart set on taking a warm long shower...not in Ensenada...basicly anywhere you stay.
We would stay again, it fit our needs, the owner was very nice & very courteous.. His house is as pictured the private community needs a little TLC none the less we would stay again...
Great stay at la Casa del Abuelo. Pablo was very courteous and helpful & greeted us and gave us a tour when we first arrived and explained and answered every question we had. Great home in front of the beach with a great view! Has all the amenities you need. We will definatley be staying there again. Gracias Pablo!
The house was cozy; felt like home, secure & gated area, beautiful view, surrounded by restaurants, stores, gas stations and bars. Although we had a small issue it was taken care of on the same day. Note: Has nothing to do with the house, but will like to give you some pointers to stay away from "Las Cazuelas", food is not good. I recommend "Casa de La Tia" their specialty is the "machete" any meat there is delicious....
Just Got back from my vacation in Mexico. Stayed at "La Casa del Abuelo" and loved it. I was very cozy. Had all the comfort we needed, clean and spacious. Located in a small gated community. Had a 2016 Quest parked outside, it was very safe there. Can't wait to come back. "La Casa Del Abuelo" will be my vacation home, away from home.

grey wales (in winter months) and the cruise ships as they enter or exit the port of Ensenada.
The tourist section of the city is only 1 mile from the house,
