Guestbook comments from the owner

Stayed first week of September, 2009 and absolutely loved this place! Pictures do not do it justice. Literally everything you need from home Gail has in her chalet. It's a warm, comfortable and very enviting place. Very kid friendly, or even perfect for a romantic get-away. Centrally located in Eidelweiss which is 15 min. from Conway Village and restaurants, outlets, attractions and awesome swimming holes! Beautiful deck with sliding doors from the living room and a nice sized yard and private driveway. You feel very peaceful and can really unwind here. Beds are very comfy also. We can't wait to return to Gail's cottage - she's super friendly and will help you in any way she can. Thanks for a super vacation, Gail!

Clean and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

Location was fabulous, chalet was immaculate and private. Even though we got rained out of a float trip, we made the best of it at the beaches near by which was just as nice for our crew. Gail was extremely helpful and attentive!

Owner's Response: Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed Your stay at our chalet. We do our best to keep it clean and cozy so you can enjoy your vacation time. Eidelweiss beaches are clean and a great way to cool off with a quick swim, or spend the day with a picnic lunch. There was quite a thunderstorm while you were here that disrupted your plans. I hope you come back next year to do that float trip!!

Owner's Response: We love to hear that people have enjoyed their time at our chalet. We have a yard with a long drive that is set back from the street, which makes it safe for kids to play. And our fire pit is approved by the Town Fire Marshall. We hope you will be our guest again soon.

Wonderful rental in the woods.

  • 5 of 5

What a great week away. The house has a great layout, open, inviting and impeccably clean. We were conveniently close to beaches and area amenities, but set back in the woods enough to feel secluded. It was a perfect relaxing week away. We are looking forward to going back again next summer!

Owner's Response: It is always great to hear that guests enjoyed our home and want to return. Eidelweiss has five beaches and our home is 1/4 mile from both entrances to Middle Pond. With our house being set back from the street, there is plenty of privacy while sitting on the deck or at the fire pit. We are also close to all amenities, only 3 miles from the Kancamagus Highway and about 8 miles from North Conway by using North/South Road. We are looking forward to have you return next year. Hopefully, we'll have some new updates to our home by next summer.

Great weeklong stay for party of 8

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a week stay at the Eidelweiss Chalet. We had 5 adults and 3 children and had no issues with the property. We enjoyed evenings by the fire in the backyard, cooking on the outdoor propane grill, and preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The Chalet is in a nice wooded location that is conveniently located (no more than a 30 minute drive) to a large number of local attractions. We took the kids to Story Land one day and had a blast. We also enjoyed the summer activities at Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, shopping in the outlets, and driving "the Kanc". We even took a day trip to Kennebunkport, ME to check out the coast and have some fresh seafood. While you do have to bring your own linens and towels and take your garbage to the transfer station, its clearly stated and really not that big of a deal and ultimately saves money on the cost of the rental. The transfer station is just a 7 minute or so drive from the Chalet (just take note of the operating days / hours). We had a great stay and highly recommend the property. If we ever make it back in the area we'd definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Owner's Response: Thank you. There is so much to do in the area and we are 30 minutes from most attractions. Outlet shopping at Settler's Green has now increased with Settler's Streetside, with many new stores. Cranmore Mountain has a variety of fun things to do - and plan to spend most of the day when you go to Storyland. We love to hear that people enjoyed their vacation and our chalet. We look forward to having you back any time when you are in the area again.

Clean, comfortable stay in a great community

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the chalet! It was the perfect base camp for us. The home was very clean (yay!), great space for socializing with the open concept. The firepit was fun to gather around at night while we discussed our adventures. Opening and closing procedures are easy. The house is stocked with everything you need to make meals if you wish to do so. We enjoyed a drive up Mt. Washington, kayaking on the saco river and lots of other spots like Diana's Baths and the silly things like Pirates Cove. We dined out many places, our favorite being Moat Brewery. We would certainly stay again and recommend it. Gail was very easy to get in touch with about the home but instructions were so clear that we didn't have a need to contact through our time there. Thank you for sharing your home!

Owner's Response: We like to hear when our guests enjoyed their stay. Their is a lot to do in the area and we are within 30 minutes from most activities. Pirate's Cove is a fun mini golf right on the way into North Conway. Diana's Bath is a great little hike and there are some farmers' fruit and veggie stands along the way. There is so much to do in the White Mountain area. When the day's activities are over, you can take a relaxing swim in one of the 5 ponds in Eidelweiss and then spend some time by our fire pit. We look forward to your staying with us again.

Relaxing and eventful weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Extremely cozy and clean chalet located minutes from many popular North Conway attractions(shopping, skiing and dining). This is a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend getaway with family and friends or an adventure packed weekend. The house was immaculate upon arrival and had everything we needed. We've rented before and will definitely be renting again. The owners provided great customer service and are very responsive with any questions. Highly recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Thank you. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at our chalet. We strive to keep the chalet clean and cozy - like a home away from home. There is always so much to do in the area, skiing and tubing in the winter months; and during the summer months you can take advantage of the 5 spring-fed ponds in Eidelweiss, kayaking, hiking, fishing, golf courses and of course Storyland and Santa's Village if you have small children. And then you can return from your busy day and sit around the fire pit to relax. We hope to see you back again!!!
