This year round house has been in the family since 1965. The interior was substantially renovated to today's standards and desires. Contents include a new kitchen with stainless steel appliances and tile counter tops. The bathroom is completely new and modern. The livingroom and dining areas are open to each other with a large wall mounted LCD TV and Satellite service. We have internet with Wi-Fi access from the property. Check the pictures and imagine you and your family grilling on the patio and swimming in the lake. If your looking for loons, you wont have to look far.
What an enjoyable stay at the cottage. It pretty much had everything anyone could need-as you said, Just food and beverages! It was clean and comfortable. The lake was beautiful--sparkling clean.
As I left and locked up I remembered that I didn't sweep the sand off the stairs inside! Speaking of sand, have you ever thought of putting together a little narrow "boardwalk" up from the little beach? Even with the Foot Bath it was impossible to keep sand out of the cottage.
Anyway, it was a great week.

This rental was everything we read about and more. The house was large enough for our friends and family and spacious enough from the neighboring properties. The rental was extra clean and Bill was more than accommodating in making sure we had everything prior to our stay. We highly recommend this place!
fantastic place. We have been to many places both foreign and domestic and Bill's place is great!! The property was clean, neat and provided us with everything we needed. Great location, canoe and kyack were right there for us. Fire pit great for smores. Would recommend this property for both young and mature couples.
We had a wonderful week, lots of sun ,glad to see fire pit, it brought back my girl scout fire building skills, great sandy beach to get into lake from, the water was clear, the loons and I both enjoyed. We had the use of both canoe and kayak and we could cook outside on grill or inside with stove ,oven,or microwave.I have had two hips and one knee replaced ,I did not have any trouble getting in and out of house or lake.I can not think of anything we needed that was not provided, the only things we needed to bring was clothes and food.
My husband, adult daughter, and I arrived from Virginia to a clean cottage on Forest Lake. Everything was there that you needed there except food. We had an impromptu family gathering for pizza and the house is large enough so all were comfortable. The relatives were curious as to where we were staying. Some enjoyed swimming in lake that evening. The firepit was good for smores. The cottage was very comfortable and it even included fans and heaters...we needed them both!
The lake house was close to the sites we wanted to see so it was easy going places. Just a few bumps in the road to make sure you were paying attention. We would stay again.
The location was convenient to Portland, Freeport, and the coast. The property had a nice beach, large patio overlooking the lake, and a big lawn. plenty of parking for vehicle and guests. The house had all the amentities while still keeping a simple rusitc feel.
