Guestbook comments from the owner

I cannot praise this location and accommodation enough. I had a fabulous week in this cottage which is of a very high standard. It has a great view of the ocean, with restaurants close by. I would highly recommend Spain's for a steak. The hot tub is a fantastic way to relax at the end of the day. The nautical theme of the cottage is very fitting. I will definitely be returning to this superb beach house.

Ideal Rhode Island cottage

  • 5 of 5

My wife told me she wouldn't mind if the lodgings were modest so long as we were at the beach. A little searching on VRBQ located this rental, and it was better than modest. You will have everything you need except your toothbrush and clothing--tableware and cookware, fully equipped kitchen, toiletries, a rich collection of beach toys and chairs and even a sortofa kayak. This Breakshore community is all private access and the people are super friendly; families with well-behaved children are constantly transporting beachgoing stuff down the stairs to the prvate strip of sand, and children get to ride bikes and scooters and skateboards without concern for traffic. Now, the cottage has bed for two; two children might be able to sleep on the sofa using the pull-out trundle if the second child is under four feet. Conclusion: we were over the moon here, so utterly relaxing and peaceful and delightful.

WONDERFUL STAY

  • 5 of 5

Cottage was nice, clean and had everything available that we needed. Wonderful location! Would recommend this cottage and would stay at it again. Only problem was bed too high for me, I am 5 ft. tall and couldn't get up on it, had to improvise. I think a stool would be nice to have in bedroom. Been going to Point Judith for 63 yrs. because grandparents had cottage there. Love it and everything about it!

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this wonderful cottage with everything you need right there. The people in the Breakwater Village community were warm and welcoming and we loved sitting outside with beautiful views of the ocean and great sunsets at night. We liked that it was centrally located and easy drive to beaches and some terrific restaurants near by.

Cara was a pleasure to deal with and we would highly recommend.

Your own little slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived until the very sad moment we had to say goodbye to the place we called home for 5 days; we were in complete bliss. Breakwater Village is a fabulous place for the kids to ride their bikes and just be kids with out the hassle of worrying about traffic. the few cars that do go by are driving at a snails pace. We felt very safe letting our kids play catch in the "road" in front the cottage. The cottage itself is very homey and has everything you could need on a beach vacation and more! My family of 4 was very comfortable, never feeling like there wasn't enough room. Cara was very friendly and responsive when we called her. As for the view, there is no other view more beautiful than the sunsets on Point Judith. Absolutely breathtaking. People lined the streets and beach to watch the sun retreat for the day with drink in hand nightly. Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. The private beach was fantastic. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a respite from reality and enjoy a few days in paradise.
