Gracious Living at this Lovely Historic Home. Enjoy Farm-to-Table Lifestyle
About Michelle S.
We are originally from the area, moved west in 2001. Now as we near retirement, we're happy to return to the Philly/Princeton area to be closer to old friends and family and excited to share this charming home with like-minded guests to the area, while we are out of town. Our schedule is very flexible, so let us know what dates you are seeking and we can most likely work-around.

Why Michelle S. chose Lawrenceville
Michelle has had her eye on this house since 1998 - when we originally toured it and considered buying it as our first home. Now, 20 years later, finally able to make the dream come true - purchased in in April 2018!
What makes this House unique
Charm, grace, history and unparalleled access to the culture of Princeton University, the nightlife of NYC and the peace and tranquility of the surrounding meadows, farms and open spaces! Walk into Lawrenceville for a coffee or to mail a letter (starbucks, Post office, cafes, ice cream, and several fine dining spots too!) A short drive to the truly special Cherry Grove Farm Store for fresh provisions ... or to a local orchard (Terhune Orchard) for fruit, fresh pies or local wine. A bit further up the road finds you in the center of Princeton University - lectures, museums, art films, shopping, dining, live theatre. Hop the train into NYC or Philadelphia for a day of sightseeing, or head into Bucks County for a day of antiquing. This home is centrally situated to provide easy access to the main Northeast Corridor rail line, country road, Rt.1 or I-95/295.

What a lovely and comfortable property, a convenient 10-15 minute drive from Princeton University. Our hosts were so accommodating and answered all our questions. I definitely would like to return!
It was a pleasure to host you and thank you for being such great guests!
Very comfortable historic home
Home is just as described and is quite comfortably decorated and stocked. Owners were fabulous to communicate with and even put together a book for guests that was quite helpful. We enjoyed several of the nearby suggestions - gluten-free bakery, another bakery, local farm with cheese, eggs and other products. We had 5 in our group, and it worked well for us to have our family Thanksgiving dinner there. I would definitely consider staying here again and highly recommend it to others.
Thanks Stacey - we were happy to host your family over the Thanksgiving holiday & hope for the opportunity to have you stay with us again!
A Delightful Country Home!
Despite the rainy weather the weekend of our visit, the home could not have been more inviting and comfortable, and we spent our time preparing meals in the lovely & well-outfitted kitchen. Very much appreciated finding the kitchen stocked with spices and basics (coffee!) and every bell & whistle we could have hoped for. We spent an entire afternoon watching Netflix movies in the cozy den ... and even ventured out in the weather to explore the farm store (and its small petting zoo that our son was charmed by) at Cherry Grove Farm, just up the street.
We adored the history and charm of the house, and appreciated the tranquil setting and views of the farm across the street. While it is a historic home - we found it very, very comfortable, we'd love to come back for a longer visit next time.
Can't recommend this home highly enough, and Michelle was the best hostess, so helpful and accommodating, and she's done an amazing job of setting up a first class vacation rental that feels like your distant relatives' country home. Honestly, at the end of the weekend, I did not want to leave! We will definitely be back...
Thank you Lissa, so happy to hear that you, Derek and Liam enjoyed your weekend stay, and I certainly look forward to hosting you again soon :)
A Step Back In Time.......
While relocating temporarily for work to the Princeton/Lawrenceville area, my husband and I had the opportunity to stay at Michelle and David's lovely old home this summer. When I saw the posting on VRBO I was delighted to find it, knowing it would be such a more memorable and enjoyable experience, rather than in an extended stay hotel.
Michelle has furnished the home in an eclectic style, combining the old and the new, making it very comfortable. Inside this cozy home, one can feel as though they are stepping back in time to days past and a simpler lifestyle. The small Lawrence Township has great offerings of restaurants and local merchants within walkable distance from the house. I enjoyed many short walks to the wonderful farm stand to select fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a shop with fresh eggs, cheeses and numerous other tasty products.
This home has such terrific natural light coming in, and very comfortable temperature control with window ac units. Overall, the house is well equipped for a weekend get away or for an extended several month stay.
Michelle is great to work with and was always available to answer any questions. She was prompt in resolving any concerns and she made our stay so enjoyable by providing everything we needed.....as if we were at home. She went above and beyond in readying the house for our stay, and was so thoughtful leaving a couple of bottles of wine for us to enjoy upon arrival.
If you are looking for a unique place to stay, and one that has character and warmth, you will enjoy staying in this home and exploring the history of Princeton and surrounding areas....all so accessible. Minutes away from getting on I95, this home is conveniently located - but yet when you are there inside the house, you feel like you are living in days past as you can sit in the living room and look across at the fields, imagining what it must have been like over 250 yrs ago.
Dear M & L - It was a pleasure to host you both during your stay in New Jersey and so pleased to hear that you appreciated and took advantage of all the charms and amenities of Lawrenceville! Dave & I hope for the opportunity to see you both again, if you are ever back in the area.
