We had such a great time!!! House was really clean and had everything you would need. We can't wait to go back :)
Look forward to you making a return visit.
Enjoyed our weekend getaway at the Spring House.
The accommodations are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The view of the river is beautiful and access is easy. We enjoyed canoeing the river, going for a refreshing dip, relaxing on the dock in the evenings and having coffee on the screened porch in the mornings.
I've rented a number of times. Owners are great. Always clean. What a wonderful way to start the day sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee viewing the river. Will come back again.
The home is located on the Santa Fe river with canoes, kayaks, and a very clean home that is perfect
The home is clean, comfortable and cozy. Inside the owner has all the amenities you could need and outside a very peaceful property directly on the river. We enjoyed playing shuffleboard, cornhole, roasting marshmallows, and sitting by the fire. The home is about 20 minutes from Ichetucknee springs which is an unbelievable national treasure. Thank you again for a great weekend with my family!
The house gives you a warm and cozy feeling as soon as you enter. Loved it and can't wait to go again. It was a great get away. So glad we spent our 1 year anniversary there. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave.
WELL KEPT, COZY 2-bedrm River house on the banks of the Santa Fe.
Just right for a couple, adequate for two couples (as we were), or a small family, but we would say a tight squeeze for more than four. For this reason, we are giving it 3-stars. If my husband and I had been by ourselves, we might have rated it four stars as it was clean, private and reasonably well equipped. However, the bedrooms were quite small and with no suitcase stands, we had to keep our suitcases on the floor as there was no place else to put them. Also, of note for a larger group; the only eating table large enough to seat four (and equipped with four chairs) was located under the house. The weather co-operated on one of the nights and we grilled (grill worked well) and ate down there which was very pleasant. It was about 30 minutes into High Springs (10 minutes on unpaved, sandy roads) where there is a good Winn Dixie Store and a few nice restaurants. We enjoyed the isolated location as it was quiet and served well for our purposes which was to do some exploratory paddles for our kayak club on the Santa Fe. The Spring House has a floating dock good for a small motorized boat or canoe, but we found it easier to launch our kayaks down at the association park just a short distance away. A special thank you to the owners who were very accommodating allowing us to arrive early; so-as-to get in an afternoon paddle the day we arrived.
The Springhouse is close to Ichetucknee Springs State Park, Oleno State Park (where the Santa Fe goes underground for 3 miles), the River Rise (where it reemerges), Ginnie and Blue Springs, Rum Island park and Sandy Point (where the Santa Fe joins the Suwannee). There are approximately 5 miles of state maintained hiking trails adjacent to the oasis. You will be within viewing and walking distance of the community boat ramp and spring. You can fill the day swimming, fishing, snorkeling, floating, diving. Antiquing in High Springs and Fort White, and eating in Branford or Bell, there is plenty to look forward to daily.
