Our stay in your cabin was EXACTLY what we were hoping for. I travel for business a lot, and I booked it back in August, anticipating that by November, my boyfriend and I would need a bit of a respite. Well, he proposed two weeks before our trip--so our weekend was especially meaningful and relaxing as we talked about our future, the wedding, soaked in the hot tub, played Monopoly, and ate pancakes by the fire. Thank you for providing that space for us. We will treasure that memory.
Weekend getaway from our hectic schedule is what we were looking forward to. This cabin was perfect. Its ideal for 2 but easily can accommodate 2 more. All amenities you could ask for plus the hot tub. We have loved our stay here! Would definitely come back.
Beautiful little cottage! The resort was nice and quiet and the staff at the general store there was very nice and helpful. The cottage was very clean and I was very impressed with the craftmanship! It had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable bed and comfy couch. Sue was extremely nice when I booked our stay and her directions to get to the cottage were spot on. My husband and I were both pleased with our 2 night stay. I definitely recommend this property! Great stay!
This the perfect getaway for two, although it has a pullout for two more.
Very secluded and charming with everything you need. Hot tub added the perfect touch for romantic evenings.
Boaters should make arrangements for boat and trailer prior to arrival. We use Burnside marina who were very accommodating. (Lane to cabin very narrow.)
This was a great place for the two of us to recharge and relax. In the morning, we explored the Daniel Boone National Forest, and in the afternoon we relaxed by the pool, and enjoyed the hot tub. The cottage was so cozy. Our only critique was the lack of a bathroom mirror above the sink. I had to put makeup on using the full length mirror. If that is the only negative, I'd say we had a wonderful experience.
My husband and I stayed at this quaint little cabin for a few days and did enjoy the quite solitude of it. Sue is very nice to work with. We only had one problem during our stay. We didn't know where the towels and washcloths were stored. I emailed Sue and before she could answer me, my laptop crashed! So the towels that were available, I just kept washing and drying. Perhaps in the details posted on the refrigerator should contain where the extra linens are stored.
We would certainly recommend this little cabin for young people or the middle aged but since we are senior citizens, we found the stairs very hard to manuver. If you are a senior citizen with no health problems, you should enjoy it very much. I have already recommended it as a place to stay for our niece and her husband. I provided her with the information that she needs to reserve it.
Thanks Sue for being so prompt in refunding our deposit. I am glad that you were pleased with how we took care of your property. I always try to leave things as clean or cleaner than what I found them to be. If I owned rental property, I would expect the same from my renters. They are providing you with a service and the least we can do is respect their wishes and leave things in the same place and as clean as possible. The only thing that I would change is the kitchen table. We weren't able to set on those stools as we both have bad backs. I would suggest a little larger table with comfortable chairs to accomadate 4 people that the cabin is designed for.
