My husband and I were looking for quite place to relax for few days and Sawyers cabin more than fit the bill. The cabin is clean well stocked and the property is picturesque. I enjoyed the kayak and did some fall fishing catching beautiful largemouth and smallmouth bass. The beds are comfortable as is the large sectional while the oversized dock affords a serene place to enjoy your morning coffee while being serenaded by loons, not to mention the fall tapestry of reds, oranges and yellows that rises on the mountain across the lake. Bridgton has always been a favorite as there is everything you'll need only 2 miles away, make sure to have breakfast at Ricky's. We enjoyed ourselves so much we asked Mr. Sawyer to stay another night. Mr Sawyer is very accommodating and readily responded to any questions. There is no doubt in our minds that we will return again, can't wait! Thank you Mr Sawyer for sharing your piece of heaven. Mary Ann and Bruce
Very clean and nice. Definately want to come back here.
We arrived late at night and went right to bed. When we woke in the morning and looked out at the beautiful surroundings. The lake was beautiful with water so clean you could see the bottom. I loved the rustic feel of the place. It had everything we needed for our quick getaway. We hope to return again soon.
We had a great time at this cabin. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful and the peace and quiet is exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely come back!
Great location to sit back and unwind from all the hustle and bustle!!
Right on the lake with a dock to jump off, sit and enjoy the view of the lake and Shawnee Peak or dock a boat. We enjoyed being on the water with our family and swam/floated each day in the lake which was warm and clean. There are several marinas close by to rent a boat for a few days or the week. Moose Pond is a peaceful lake. Included with the cabin is a kayak and a canoe with life jackets. It was a clean cabin with a well stocked kitchen (dishes, pans, and utensils) to cook inside or on the gas grill which includes a burner & pot to boil up some Maine Lobsters.
The fire pit is fun to sit around at night and toast marshmallows, look at the stars or tell some stories. Make sure to grab some fire wood on your way in to the cabin.
About a 15 minute drive to downtown if you need to run and grab food from the market, want to do some antiquing or go out for a bite to eat. Highly recommend Beth's Kitchen. I would also recommend the drive-in movie theater in town.
Looking forward to a return trip next year.
