Perfectly amazing as promised
Parking: plenty of parking behind the home, enough for two full sized vehicles. Lighted in the back too backing to a very docile ally way.
Home: Very comfortable and exactly as described. Beds had top quality bedding, and very inviting. Kitchen had all the proper equipment and cookware if you wanted a meal in. Everything was super clean on check in and just perfect decorated.
Location: Walking distance (less than a mile) to great many restaurants. Town square is the same. We drove the first afternoon but walked the rest. Even with a 5 and 2 year old we never felt uneasy. Very close to some parks and best of all less than 10 minute drive to Watson Lake. Great views there with easy to moderate trails. The home was quite (even on a busy road) and close to all the action.
Owner: had very few needs to interact with the owner because everything was wonderful, but when we did she was quick to respond and an absolute pleasure.
All and all I'm going to miss our time there. I will be looking up this house again for our next venture to Prescott. Book it and you won't be disappointed.
Thanks so much for the great review!! We would love to have you and your family back anytime!!
Comfortable and conveniently located walking distance to the Square.
We had a wonderful weekend in Prescott. The house has an ideal location for leisurely walks to the Square for shopping and dining. Extremely comfortable! I highly recommend it.
Great location and Host.
Home was very clean and close to down town. Karen was a great host.
Perfect Weekend Get-Away
We had a great weekend getaway in Prescott staying at the Milligan House. . There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space, yet had a living room where we could sit around and visit. It was very convenient to downtown, Whiskey Row and shopping. Everything was exactly as described , the beds were very comfortable and Karen was very easy to work with and we all agreed we would stay here again.
Thanks so much for taking the time to review my cottage. I wanted to let you know that we are in the process of enclosing the side courtyard area with a privacy fence and gates, so that will make the outdoor area much more appealing, as the weather warms up a bit. It will also make it more pet friendly, for those who would like to bring their well behaved dog for the weekend. We would love to have you back anytime. Also, keep in mind that I also have a 2 bedroom a one bedroom and a studio available, if you should come with a smaller group, all near downtown.
Great house, great family fun
We have made Prescott a yearly destination for our family's extended weekend vacation. The Milligan house is a beautiful 1901 Victorian Cottage and felt like home as soon as we walked in. It is beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, comfortable beds in all 3 bedrooms with top quality bedding. The bathroom was very clean with plenty of towels, soap and hair dryer. Keep in mind the beautiful claw foot tub could be a bit tricky for the elderly. The cottage is within walking distance to many restaurants, antique stores, boutiques, grocery store, Whiskey Row and much more. There is a bit a traffic noise but we were not bothered by it in the least. We spent some time fishing at Goldwater Lake, just a short 10 minute drive and made great use of the picnic area and playground.
This home has a lot of history and the owners have done a fabulous job restoring it to its original splendor. Karen was very accommodating and quickly responded to all our questions.
Thank you Karen for sharing your home with us. We truly enjoyed our stay and your hospitality. We will certainly be back!
Very cute and cozy Cottage.
Great cottage we had a really good time. The Christmas tree and decorations were a cute addition. Beds were very comfortable. It was fine for us but my only concern would be elderly guests may have difficulty getting in and out of the shower/tub. We would definitely stay again.
Prescott is known as 'Everyone's Home Town' and is rich in old west history and charm. Our downtown square has frequent arts/crafts shows and many festivals and musical activities throughout the year. It is surrounded by national forest, has several lakes within 10 minutes of downtown and numerous hiking trails. We are also a short day trip to the red rocks of Sedona, the old west mining town of Jerome, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon and the Phoenix/Sedona area.
