The cottage has been updated with many modern amenities for your comfort, but still maintains the old home charm, with high ceilings, lots of crown molding and a beautiful oak staircase. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub with shower, the kitchen is well equipped and has a gas stove, built in microwave and frig. The dining room has a round oak table with 4 chairs and a breakfast buffet with coffeemaker and toaster. The living room is comforable and cozy and there is a flat screen TV with DVD player, stereo, high speed wireless internet and central air conditioning. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, one with a lovely 4 poster queen size bed and the other with a comfortable full size Jenny Lind bed and a 3rd bedroom/den is upstairs with two twins. There is a lovely courtyard area with patio table, barbecue and flowers for your outdoor entertainment. The home is turn-key with linens, dishes, towels provided and there is a washer/dryer.

Perfectly amazing as promised

  • 5 of 5

Parking: plenty of parking behind the home, enough for two full sized vehicles. Lighted in the back too backing to a very docile ally way.

Home: Very comfortable and exactly as described. Beds had top quality bedding, and very inviting. Kitchen had all the proper equipment and cookware if you wanted a meal in. Everything was super clean on check in and just perfect decorated.

Location: Walking distance (less than a mile) to great many restaurants. Town square is the same. We drove the first afternoon but walked the rest. Even with a 5 and 2 year old we never felt uneasy. Very close to some parks and best of all less than 10 minute drive to Watson Lake. Great views there with easy to moderate trails. The home was quite (even on a busy road) and close to all the action.

Owner: had very few needs to interact with the owner because everything was wonderful, but when we did she was quick to respond and an absolute pleasure.

All and all I'm going to miss our time there. I will be looking up this house again for our next venture to Prescott. Book it and you won't be disappointed.

Great house, great family fun

  • 5 of 5

We have made Prescott a yearly destination for our family's extended weekend vacation. The Milligan house is a beautiful 1901 Victorian Cottage and felt like home as soon as we walked in. It is beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, comfortable beds in all 3 bedrooms with top quality bedding. The bathroom was very clean with plenty of towels, soap and hair dryer. Keep in mind the beautiful claw foot tub could be a bit tricky for the elderly. The cottage is within walking distance to many restaurants, antique stores, boutiques, grocery store, Whiskey Row and much more. There is a bit a traffic noise but we were not bothered by it in the least. We spent some time fishing at Goldwater Lake, just a short 10 minute drive and made great use of the picnic area and playground.

This home has a lot of history and the owners have done a fabulous job restoring it to its original splendor. Karen was very accommodating and quickly responded to all our questions.

Thank you Karen for sharing your home with us. We truly enjoyed our stay and your hospitality. We will certainly be back!

Very cute and cozy Cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Great cottage we had a really good time. The Christmas tree and decorations were a cute addition. Beds were very comfortable. It was fine for us but my only concern would be elderly guests may have difficulty getting in and out of the shower/tub. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We have been going to Prescott every year for the past 10 years for the Christmas parade and Court house lighting, and we have stayed at numerous weekend rentals. This was the nicest rental we have stayed at yet. It is very clean and well maintained with three beautiful bedrooms. The location is very well stocked with everything needed for a family of four.

Two minor things- the one bathroom features a beautiful Victorian-style bathtub, but was a bit of a challenge for a 6' 4" person as myself to use. Also a DVD player would have been nice to have with the TV (which was a nice-sized screen with lots of cable channels.) Overall this did nothing to take away from our stay.

We highly recommend this rental!

Owner's Response: Dear Robert, Thanks you so much for the great review, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I have been meaning to add Netflix to the TV and in fact, am going to do that this morning. Sorry I didn't have that set up before your visit. I hope you will come back again soon! Warm Regards, Karen

Quaint and precious!

This house just gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling when you walk in! Stayed here the weekend before Halloween and enjoyed our time away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix! We walked the Historic neighborhood at night and enjoyed the Halloween decorations. Close and convenient to the downtown area with high quality linens on the beds with great decor as well! Only suggestion I would have for the house, given that there was only one bathroom, there wasn't too many functional mirrors in the bedrooms. So getting ready in the morning with 4 other females was tough. There were a couple lamps with burned out bulbs and we couldn't find any replacement bulbs and there wasn't shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms either. (My 3 year old found some the last night we were there in a small closet upstairs that we felt we shouldn't be in.) All these are minor, but overall it was wonderful!

Owner's Response: Thanks Erin, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the cottage and your time in Prescott. I know the upstairs bedroom could use a mirror, but it is challenging because of the sloped walls. I'll have to give that some thought. People generally bring their own shampoo and conditioner to vacation rentals, as you can imagine when the house sleeps 6 people, it would be difficult to provide for everyone. I appreciate the suggestions, I'm always trying to make improvements. Since you have stayed, I put a beautiful full sized antique bed upstairs with a feather bed and also kept one of the twin beds up there as well. Check out the photos online, it's very cute. I hope you will come again! Karen
