About Keith Clark
I am a Global Yacht Delivery Captain but born and raised in the Keuka Lake area. I have lived in many parts of the USA and traveled extensively throughout the world. I have seen many wondrous places in my travels, but the one true place I love more than any other, and the one place I will always call home, is "No Such Place" on gorgeous Keuka Lake.
Keith Clark purchased this House in 1981
Why Keith Clark chose Hammondsport
Keuka Lake is magical all year long but particularly so in the summer! Hammondsport on Keuka Lake is the source of the USA's first registered winery and now has nearly 20 fantastic and romantic wineries all around the lake. Harvest time is uniquely festive and fun for all and this happens spontaneously within the beauty of the incredible surrounding hills and fall foliage, a treat for the spirit and soul each and every year!
What makes this House unique
Location, Location, Location is the key to real estate, as they say, and 'No Such Place' fit's that phrase perfectly since it is ideally situation on the lake with strategic access by road and water to all of the key surrounding towns. The 3-branch and bluff views from the property in summer, spring, winter or fall are mesmerizing and soothing for one's spirit, and simply amazing for one's eyes to behold. Needless to say, a great place to bring your camera...!

Beautiful location...beautiful view
NO SUCH PLACE was a wonderful choice for our retired gals GET AWAY WEEKEND. The cottage PORCH and DOCK have spectacular views of the lake. We really loved the location being just a few miles from Hammondsport and enjoyed visiting the shops, restaurants and also Bully Hill winery. The ORIGINAL part of the cottage (read VINTAGE) has the kitchen (which is older) but it had lots of room for storage of food and beverage (two refrigerators) & the stove worked great. Ample pots, pans, dishes there and everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Three bathrooms/showers all worked great & were spotless. The NEWER part of the cottage had fantastic views and a great covered porch which was so nice for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. Beds were comfortable and there a few extra hide -a -bed sofas for those who didn't want to share a "double" with someone on our trip so we appreciated all the flexible sleeping options. Love that we could actually walk or bike around the lake by using the road a little way down the main street by the Sitz. The actual beach front access at NO SUCH PLACE is very small but that beautiful dock creates an island oasis way out into the water and would be so great for boaters and sunbathers. Owner responds immediately to questions and everything was clean and exactly as promised..a perfect rental experience. We hope to come back next year. Thanks for sharing your place with us!
It was amazing
I love this place we had so much fun
Traditional Thanksgiving feast and girl's yoga classes on a massive dock; Awesome & Inspirational!
I was looking for something quaint and unique, and on a path less taken; and a place that was inspirational yet fully functional as a home. Someplace with a natural setting yet accessible by road or water. I was also looking for a place with a well-equipped kitchen so that I could cook a belated Thanksgiving feast. These are complicated requirements to say the least, but necessary. - I teach yoga and have 10 students and needed a solid flat surface outdoors - and "No Such Place," was just the ticket. We all snuggled together near the fireplace each evening talking and giggling as if we were still teenagers. There were eleven of us in total since some were locals. We found, "No Such Place," ideal as we bonded and exercised and enjoyed nature amid the natural beauty of Keuka Lake. We not only did Yoga on the dock each morning at 8 AM in the crisp November air, but we rode bikes around the lake, hiked the hillside gorges, and a couple of us even ran our 5 miles each day. - We cooked the first day, to stay with tradition, and exercised it off. (almost). We highly recommend "No Such Place," to others and we plan to come back next year. It was a happening place for us. It was clean and everything was as advertised. It was an older period place, but we all thought it was adorable, and the owner was totally responsive and helpful; and most of all, it was inspirational for each of us personally and spiritually as a group. There really IS such a place as "No Such Place."

Great views and perfect for weekend get away.
We did enjoy our stay. The place was perfect for a girls weekend getaway. The house has looks like it has been pieced together over the years but it’s fine for a weekend get away. And the beds were super comfortable. Great views out to the lake!! The reason for only four stars was due to the stove. The paperwork did say the stove and oven have to be lit with a flame. However, some of us didn’t see that ahead of time so thought the oven was on when it wasn’t and the room filled with gas. We suggest a note attached right to the stove or front of the oven letting people know.
Another great year at No Such Place, as usual, it didn't disappoint...!
This November made the 11th year out of the last 44 that we have managed to get our group back together again at our favorite place on Keuka Lake, "No Such Place." As usual, it was exactly as billed by description and pictures and it didn't disappoint.! The views are still breathtaking, the water still pure and inviting, and the fall foliage still awesome and majestic. The dock is still the envy of the lake and the rustic old cottage is still as warm and inviting as it ever was. Our limo-driven tours of the wineries were the best ever and we stocked up on cases that will take us years to consume. We did, however, give our best shot at drinking as much of it as possible while sitting around the fabulous beach fire-pit each night. Another year behind us, and many more great memories to savor. May there be many more. Our Hobart Class of 1973 Fraternity Reunion, will be coming back again!
Our long weekend at "No Such Place" turned out to be rather disappointing. When we arrived, nothing was ready - we had been expected the next day. (The dates on our reservations were correct.) This was made right very quickly, which was nice, and Keith bought us dinner in Hammondsport, and when we returned everything was shipshape. Mistakes happen, and the miscommunication was not what made our stay less than wonderful. The dock is beautiful, the view from the bedroom on the first floor is also beautiful. The kitchen REALLY needs to be updated - I declared within the first few hours that I would not be cooking any meals there, because everything is just rundown and in desperate need of new countertops, new flooring and a new stove, at least. The three tiny bedrooms up a very very narrow staircase were fine, but we are all very tall people and overall the place just seemed old, rundown and small. (One of our guests declared it "adorable," though, and said it reminded her of the lake house where she spent summers as a child.) We spent all our time at local wineries, distilleries and breweries, and ate all our lunches and dinners in Hammondsport. We were very glad to discover the Timber Stone Grill, which became our favorite place, as well as the Tavern, where we had been before and the food is great there, too. Fun to see local wines that we liked on the menus! We did appreciate Keith's quick response time, and also the housecleaner's willingness to drop everything and get the place ready for us, but we won't be back. I think if we had small children, and boats and jet skis, and warm weather, it would be a perfect house for that. We want something a little less "rough" and modernized.
