We have had this cottage for over 40 years. We made many memories here with our family during the summer and now our children bring their children. We love the Cottage and hope to share it with you, so that you might create special summer memories too.
We love the quiet, restorative feeling the Cottage brings to every family member. Everyone recharges. The sound of the waves on the beach is so relaxing. Leave the windows open for the breeze and that wonderful sound.
Pretty Little Cabin is just what the name implies. Great family vacation place on a private stretch of beautiful Lake Huron. Nice sandy beach area provides for many hours of fun and relaxation in the sun. We have spent 8 years vacationing with family and friends at this lovely cabin. It is close to Harrisville and Sturgeon Point Light House, both quaint areas to visit. Just down the road you will find Oscoda or Alpena if a larger town attracts you. Golf courses are just down the road. Good restaurants can be found close by. Our favorite dinner is always fresh trout from the trout pond just down the road. We grill it on the gas grill provided on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. The grandkids have so much fun catching dinner!! There are three bedrooms, well stocked kitchen (with all the cook ware you will need) and dining living area with all the comforts of home. All you have to do is bring bedding and towels and everything else you may need is provided. A nice porch is lake side that is perfect for those rainy days to kick back and read or play board games (you can find in the closet). It's also a great place for breakfast or meal overflow from the dining area. The lot is roomy with a great campfire pit and sandy beachfront. This is a fantastic family getaway or a nice place for two to have a private week. Bring you water rafts and sunscreen. Keep your eyes out for the eagles who perch in a tree just north of the cabin. And if you get up early enough you will see beautiful sunrises! You will be greeted by Russell Herschelmann the proprietor who is a great guy. We feel blessed to have found this vacation haven and have had the chance to enjoy it over the years.
My family spent last week at the cozy cabin. The views from inside & out of Lake Huron are beautiful. The cabin was very well stocked with anything you may need, stereo, fans, nice kitchen appliances, dishes and utensils. The bedding was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our mornings on the deck drinking coffee and watching the water activity. The bonfire pit was enjoyed every evening also. We did do some swimming in beautiful but cold Lake Huron. My family would love to return in the future for more great memories.
My husband and I chose to rent this property for our honeymoon and we had the best time! The cottage is so cozy and clean. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne which was so nice :) The view of the lake (especially sunsets/sunrises) is awe-inspiring. You will be able to take many of your own "Pure Michigan" photos. We had such a relaxing time and are looking forward to vacationing here again.
Fantastic sandy beach with no rocks or shells to hurt the feet! The cottage is quaint & comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a great vacation.
I stayed for a long weekend last summer & booked a week for this summer... didn't bother looking for another place. This one has it all.
