|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Secluded classic lake cottage with sandy crescent swimming area, wildlife, beautiful views and charm, located 15 minutes from the coast.
Western exposure makes each summer afternoon on 800 acre Crawford Lake a day to cherish. Birders, fishermen, swimmers, hikers, readers and nappers will find our place to their liking.
Terrific restaurants, hiking trails, galleries, light houses and shops abound fifteen minutes away in Camden and Rockland. Damariscotta and Belfast are gems worth visiting - about 45 minutes away. Then again, you may want to stay at the cottage and relax.
I took my two nieces away for the week in Maine. It was so much fun to be right on a lake and there were plenty of attractions nearby. We also did some swimming and canoeing in the lake. It was so nice to be able to have their Mom and a friend visit for one of the nights. We would be happy to come back.
My boyfriend and I rented this cottage for the weekend and absolutely loved it! It is such a beautiful area and so relaxing. The lake is just steps away from the house. It's a very quiet and peaceful area but there is so much to do! We canoed, grilled, sat out by the lake, and also explored nearby towns. I would definitely recommend renting this place :) It's a great deal!
Ike and Liz are wonderful hosts! Because we arrived late they even provided us with garden fresh vegetables, homemade sauce, cornbread, and a bag of shrimp to cook for dinner. The tasty vegetables were better than anything you can find in a grocery store and most farmer's markets. The cottage was clean, beautiful, cozy, well equipped everything we possibly needed, and on a stunning beautiful lake that's great for swimming and canoeing. We wish we could spend more time there, and hope we'll be back someday soon!
