Take a stroll on the 500-yard private boardwalk to the beach or ride the golf cart shuttle and enjoy the salt-water marsh wildlife. At the end of the boardwalk you find Cocos Beach Bar and Grill (closed during the winter). Enjoy cool drinks while listening to Caribbean music and order up something from the grill. If lounging in the sun is your thing, we provide all the beach essentials so leave your bulky beach chairs home and enjoy the sand and the surf. We provide two beach carts, 4 beach chairs, and 4 beach towels. You will be surprised that our beach is never crowded because the Resort and beach access is private. From Memorial Day to mid-August our beach has a life guard and rents umbrellas and beach chairs.
On the way back from the beach you could stop at one of the two outside pools. Next to the large resort style pool in Building One you will find The Island Grill and Deli which also has a convenience store and movie and bicycle rentals.
Hilton Head Resort is a private gated resort with 24-hour security and is centrally located on the island. The Resort and the villa is a great value while not sacrificing the quality and the many amenities of the more expensive resorts on the island.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Is the villa available for my requested dates? I keep the reservation calendar current. If it shows the dates as shown as already reserved, then the villa is not available. If it shows it open then it is most likely available unless someone just booked it.
How far is it to the beach? It is about 500 yards and it is about a 3-4 minute walk. The boardwalk crosses the marsh and numerous signs describe the indigenous wildlife and is quite enjoyable. During the summer months you might be more inclined to get the beach is a short period of time, so we have a beach cart to load your beach gear and you can take the golf cart shuttle that makes the roundtrip on a posted schedule. At the end of boardwalk you will find Cocos Bar and Grill along with bathroom facilities, so there should no be any reason for multiple trips. We have included a photo from the upper floor of Building 1 to give you a relative perspective of the distance.
How many does the villa comfortably accommodate? The villa will sleep 6 but is ideally configured for 2 adults and up to 4 children or 4 adults. The Resort limits 4 adults/2 bedroom villa and is appropriate for our villa configuration.
We have been vacationing at Hilton Head Island for the last 30 years and love it so much we purchased this condo in 2008. We have 3 adult children who also love the warm beaches of South Carolina.
Greg Powers purchased this condo in 2008
We purchased this property primarily due the wonderful pristine views of the marshes and ocean. The Resort also has many amenities that are free to the owners and guests. We also picked Hilton Head Island because of the controlled/planned development and harmony with the environment.
We think our condo and all the Resort facilities are the perfect match for a family vacation. One you arrive you will find both indoor and outdoor pools and the ocean to enjoy. We have a deli and beach bar and grill on the premises along with a convenience store. There is always plenty of parking and because we are private gated community, we are never over-crowded. You can park your car and enjoy all we have to offer.
This unit was very clean and well equipped. The unit was plenty big enough for our family of three and could have been comfortable with a two more people. We enjoyed the views of the marsh from the board walk down to the beach and loved the free use of their beach wagon. The owners were very good in replying back to us as well. The resort has a neat indoor pool and recreation area that was fun for our daughter. The resort is in a great location too, it is in quieter area that is a little less developed with views of the marsh and the beach farther out. It was fun to watch the morning activity of the ocean birds, turtles and crabs in the ponds directly below the unit from the patio. Overall wonderful stay!
Stayed here over a long weekend. The owner communicated well, giving us the information needed for a great stay. Convenient to beach. Bikes, cart, and beach amenities were terrific as we were limited on luggage. Second bedroom has a small. TV connected to dvd and game system.
The property was clean and well maintained, a little dated, but comfortable. Having beach towels, beach umbrella was a great perk. The owner was very helpful and gave us detailed instructions, maps and even suggestions for things to do, places to eat etc. He was quick to respond to email. The walk to the beach is a bit of a trek, but the golf cart shuttle is a life savor. The view from the balcony is amazing! We would certainly recommend this property.
We enjoyed staying in this condo. It was clean and comfortable. You can tell the owner thought of everything you may possibly need. The only dislike was my husband and I are both 6ft 1in and the shower head is really low. The deli restaurant by the pool has great food. I wished they had a dollar to coin changer in the laundry room, but it was close and the beach cart was super handy to take the laundry in. The pools are very nice and it wasn't crowded.
Location was ideal in Hilton Head Resort. Short boardwalk (or shuttle) directly to the beach, there were two different outdoor pools if you wanted a break from the ocean. The condo was conveniently located in building three and offered gorgeous views. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!!
My family had a great beach week staying at this rental!! It was clean and comfortable. We loved that the linens were included! The kitchen has what you need to eat in.
The boardwalk to the beach is nice but the shuttle service is awesome!!
The owner was so easy to work with and easy to reach when we needed to.
Great place for a family to stay at the beach!!
