Simply amazing, hidden gem

This place is unbelievable. The home is beautiful and the remote location makes it a perfect place to relax, unwind, meditate and just disconnect from real life for a bit. My family and I took advantage of their three night special and visited over Labor day weekend with our dogs. They had a blast scoping the area and hanging out by the pond. The house has everything you need. The owners are SUPER nice and will even call to make sure you found the place ok and check to make sure if you have any questions about the place etc. There are kayaks on site as well as a paddle boat and some inflatable water toys. The kitchen is fully equipped, you will need absolutely nothing but food which you can either bring or just run to the local grocery store which isn't far. The house isnt easily found on GPS or google maps but the owners are able to send very easy to follow directions. The owners also provide some DVDs, you should definitely bring some more for indoor entertainment or little ones if you are bringing any. I even left a few DVDs I brought with me because I hope to return to visit again!

Woods, water and tranquility as promised!

  • 5 of 5

This amazing lake house really was everything and more it was promised to be! Our family really enjoyed all the amenities it offered and had the most wonderful week there...we really could have stayed longer! Very clean, homey and inviting and all you really do need to bring is your personal items and beach towels as everything else is provided, even reading materials and games. The water was warm and clean and the kids and Dad enjoyed the rope swing too! We had many relaxing kayak rides and the loons let our daughter get close enough to get some great pictures. She also caught some pretty big bass! Can't say enough about this wonderful place! Many thanks to Frank and Anne Marie for allowing us to share their wonderful home! We definitely hope to be back next year!!!

Fantastic vacation rental experience!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family absolutely loved the house...the layout was terrific! and the property and amenities were beautiful!! We all thoroughly enjoyed the swimming dock, kayaks and paddleboat and Ripley Pond!! We found the house clean and well maintained. Working with the owners was a great experience...they were attentive and friendly:) We enjoyed the local community of Dexter, Maine...especially Scavengers Antiques! We had the best breakfast ever at Sunrise Restaurant and Bakery...the cinnamon buns were so delicious!! And lobster dinner at Anglers in Newport, Maine was a great treat!! A wonderful vacation experience!!

Peaceful and Secluded

  • 4 of 5

We were looking for a house with a good amount of privacy and this house delivered. Lake is very clean and clear. Great for swimming. House is very nice. Nice golf course only minutes away. Grocery store is very convenient. The only down note was the beds were a little bit uncomfortable and the down stairs bed was very creaky.

Owner's Response: Thank you for writing a review; firm mattresses were purchased in 2014, perhaps too firm? We will certainly look into why the 1st floor bed "creaks", perhaps some tightening of the head and/or foot boards are necessary, We appreciate your input to assist us in making our Lake Home most comfortable for our guests.

You seriously will NOT be disappointed with this rental. Everything you could need to have the most fun, relaxing vacation is included! This is our first "lake" vacation as we are typically beach goers and I can tell you I am SOLD! 4 kids ages 17 down to 9 and they all had a fantastic time, even without internet! Beautiful home with a secluded location and the owners were a pleasure to deal with . A+ all around. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we hope to return next year!!
