3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house with lake view and walking distance to town
About Dawn Sevilla
When I was growing up my parents took us to Watkins Glen and we hiked through the gorge. I really enjoyed the waterfalls. Many years later my husband and I came back to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We walked through the gorge and it was as beautiful as I remembered it. After the gorge we stopped at Lakewood Vineyards and had our first ever wine tasting. That was about 15 years ago and we have been coming back ever since. We are always finding something new to do in the area. There are so many festivals and events that there are some we are still trying to find the time to attend.
Dawn Sevilla purchased this House in 2013
Why Dawn Sevilla chose Watkins Glen
What we enjoy about the property we have is the location. We are not in the center of town but rather just on the edge of town. We have a lake and harbor view and are close enough to town to walk to restaurants and town events.

We had a great weekend staying in Watkins’s Glen! Perfect location! House was clean and well equipped! Wineries were close by and restaurants were within walking distance! Hiked in beautiful Watkins Glen Park!
Very convenient location with amazing view
Amazing view and great location. Owners were very attentive to any issues. Perfect space for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend
We thoroughly enjoy enjoyed our stay. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. Very clean. Lovely lake view. Close to town . Within walking distance if you want. Went to Watkins Glen state park. Toured wine region. All right near by. Dawn the owner was very helpful and pleasant.
Clean and comfortable home
The home is on Franklin which is just north of Watkins Glen commerce area. Easy walking distance to coffee pizza and stores. The home cools off nicely and each bedroom on first floor has ceiling fans. In heat of summer, the cool air from AC comes easily in to bedrooms if you leave doors open. The attic has two beds and it gets stuffy up there unless running AC units—which cools the area well. Parking on street in front unless there is street work.
Kitchen and dining area very spacious. Has limited cable TV with local stations, TBS, CNN but no sports programming (such as BTN or ESPN). We weren’t there to watch TV so it was fine.
Overall a clean and comfortable home.
Charming House on the Lake
We had a great time at the rental house. The house was lovely and within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. Dawn was a pleasure to work with. She was friendly, accommodating, and easy to get in touch with. 10/10 I would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Clean rental right on Seneca lake
This was a great place to stay for our long weekend away. It was a great treat that there were enough beds for our kids to sleep separately. It was easy to cook in or eat out and walk to get food or ice cream. Great view of the fireworks!
Property is located at the southern end of Seneca Lake within walking distance of town with shops, restaurants and bars, theater, bank, post office, parks, harbor, marina, churches and Catharine Valley Trail. Nearest grocery store is within a mile.
Drive the short distance to Watkins Glen State Park lower entrance to hike through the gorge with its many beautiful waterfalls. The more energetic may want to add to the hike by walking the few blocks from the house to the park entrance. Drive to the upper entrance to swim in the Olympic sized swimming pool.
There is lake swimming at Clute Park, Watkins Glen or Smith Memorial Park, Hector.
Visit the many wineries in the area for tastings and make stops along the cheese trail.
Watch fireworks from the front porch over July 4th and during the Italian Festival. Race fans will enjoy Watkins Glen International race track.
Short trips from the house can include Corning Glass Museum or Arnot Mall. For those who enjoy the waterfall and hiking be sure to plan side trips to other state parks in the area including Taughannock Falls, Buttermilk Falls and Letchworth State Park.
