Guestbook comments from the owner

This neighborhood is lovely, quiet, and close to the Carolina Beach boardwalk. There is a private beach access roughly 2 minutes from the house, and piers about a 10 minutes walk down the beach either way. Jana was extremely helpful and responsive all weekend. The house was beautiful and spacious. We had 6 guests overall, so we fit at the 6 person dining table perfectly. I would recommend booking with Jana and would book with her again in the future.

Amenities were in place, towels/utensils were well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we especially loved the outdoor day bed.

I've been renting beach houses for a number of years and this is the first time with VRBO. I have to tell you that this house was amazing. The décor was beautiful and well done. The house was so comfortable and close to the beach it made it hard to come home after the week was up. The owners were very attentive and wanted to make sure that everything was to our liking. My family all want to come back next year.

Gorgeous beach house

  • 5 of 5

Seas the Day provided a great beach vacation for my family. Jana had mentioned the home was recently renovated but we did not expect such a dramatic upgrade from the photos featured online. The master bedroom upstairs is unbelievable, beautiful decor to go with a luxurious and relaxing spa like bath. The downstairs master was beautiful also. Kitchen was well stocked. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the two large decks. Was great to have morning coffee on the front deck rocking chair and then take a short walk to the beach. Definitely planning on coming back next year.

Lovely beach house

Recently spent a few days at Seas the Day property. Fabulous decor, spacious and super quick walk to the beach. The only thing missing was an ocean view. Owner was very responsive to questions.

Oh, photos don't do it justice!

In Need of TLC

  • 2 of 5

Seas the Day could be a lovely beach cottage, but has been neglected. Maybe once it did have an ocean view. Today other houses block the view. There is no screened porch, and the porch furniture is dirty (I scrubbed the chairs). Maybe once the doors all closed properly and the kitchen was well equipped. Now exterior doors have severe water damage and the first floor reeks of mold. For a cottage that sleeps 8 there are 8 glasses (3 water, 3 juice, 1 wine. and a jelly jar). Upholstery is worn and sheets are cheap

Owner's Response: We always ask our guests to report any dissatisfaction within 24 hours of staying. We are very easy going and want all our guests to be comfortable and happy! This renter did report a shortage of wine glasses which we offered to pay for since they do get broken during the year -we apologized for the shortage. There was no other mention of glasses during our phone call. I actually counted glasses in Jan., we had a full cabinet of just glasses, so I am a little confused by the statement we only had 8 glasses. As far as the doors being rotten, we did indeed have ONE rotten door (located on bottom of door) in the kitchen which we had planned on replacing in Jan. The other doors in the house were replaced in 2014 and have no signs of water damage. Again, I am a little confused by the statement -All doors have severe weather damage. As far as the first floor smelling like mold-I'm not sure I can guess what that was about. This was a first time hearing something about mold. However, we did renovate all the bathrooms this year (2016) and did had someone look into a possible mold issue -no issue was discovered. As far as the furniture being worn-we did have ONE red sofa that we had planned on replacing in Jan. that was worn. The rest of our furniture was replaced in 2014/2015. Again a very broad statement from the renter! All of our sheets are 400/500 TC so if that is cheap.... I'm sorry. Sadly, we no longer have an ocean view due to the new building around us. We have not advertised we have an ocean view since summer 2015. Only that we are very close to the ocean- a short 2 minute walk. We try to please and accommodate all of our guests. We are certain that going forward in 2016 that we will meet and exceed our renters expectations.
