About Therese Washburn

While our primary home is in Westchester, New York, our heart is always in Charlestown, Rhode Island. We plan to retire at our 'Bird's Nest' in the next 5-10 years. In the meantime, since we can't spend the summers in RI, we have been happy to share our beautiful and cozy home in the months of July and August with our guests.

We enjoy the outdoors, gardening, golf, kayaking and other outdoor sports, which is all reflective in our property, home and the Quonnie area.

Therese Washburn purchased this house in 2008

Why Therese Washburn chose Rhode Island Coastal

Most of our guests have been couples and/or families with children of all ages. The location to the beaches is perfect. The beach pass allows entry to the premiere beach (Blue Shutters and Charlestown Town Beach). For families with younger children, Ninigret Park and Lake are a welcome alternative to the ocean. The fresh-water Lake at Ninigret has a beach-like atmosphere with picnic tables, shade and a life guard on duty. Ninigret also offers swings/slides, etc.

What makes this house unique

If you're looking for a peaceful, stress-free beach/fishing vacation, you've selected the right property.

Perfect for our family! Clean and comfy!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the bird's nest. It was the perfect size for us with comfy beds and furniture. A spacious kitchen and large deck for eating outside. Easy access to the beach and a quick bike ride to the farm stand for dinner. We will be back!

Great Stay

  • 4 of 5

Perfect for 2 couples. Great grill and porch. Perfect location and wonderful beach. We brought 2 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas. There were 2 chairs at the house and the beach pass was fantastic. The only thing we did not bring were lobster crackers and unfortunately the house did not have them. My husband was able to improvise so he cracked all of them for us! We had such a nice, relaxing vacation!

Cozy, quiet but conveniently located.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a long weekend and had such a relaxing time. Cozy is a great description. You can relax on the front deck without being seen, not that it mattered because of the quiet neighborhood. Short distance from the beach. We would definetly stay there again.

Cute, cozy home.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice well kept home on a beautiful property near the beach. This house is perfect and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. It is close to the beach with a salt pond down the street. There are stores nearby and not a far drive from restaurants, shops and other coastal activities. The owners are great. We really enjoyed our stay.
