Really great value for the price! Fabulous location and very comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

First of all, the location is fabulous! Less than ten minutes from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center and a 15-20 minutes drive down the GORGEOUS colonial parkway to Yorktown and Jamestown. My husband had to stay back to work a couple of days and so he took an UBER drive to meet up with us later that afternoon in Colonial Williamsburg. He said the fair was only $6! Also, there is a grocery store and a RedBox right around the corner so I could not have been happier with the location.

The house is comfortable and is amply furnished. I thought our bed was very comfortable and I heard from other guests that they were very comfortable too. It’s true, as the pictures indicate, that the furniture is dated and everything looks a little worn. But, honestly, it just brought me back to visiting my grandparents and added to the charm of the whole experience. And it also made the house feel that much more welcoming to me with my brood of little children.

Speaking of children, I really appreciated the small portable highchair and portable crib that was there for our use! My older kids also enjoyed several of the board games too. The upstairs bedroom was a perfect kid’s room - so much space!

The house itself actually felt quite large. We were a party of 6 adults, 4 small children and 2 infants and there was plenty of space for us to hang out, eat together around the dining table, and get ready for the day with ease. The porch room was an awesome bonus - my husband worked at a table in there most of the warmer days.

The owners were very responsive and very easy to work with. I was very happy with my experience with them.

I’m summary, the house is older and the furniture reflects quite a few years of loving wear and tear, but for the price, space, and location this property is hard to beat!

Great place and people to deal with!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay....the house is more spacious than it looks in the pictures. We found the house charming and relaxing and well stocked. The weather was very warm outside and the air conditioning had no problem keeping up. Overall it was a wonderful time and we will definitely stay again when we revisit the area. Thanks!

Summer Mini Vacation

  • 4 of 5

I really enjoyed my mini vacation. The house was very clean inside and had all the amenities you needed. Outside needs a little tender lovin care however, it didn't effect stay. Had a couple issue but homeowner responded accordingly. It was easy access to Busch Gardens, stores and easy access to highways. I would defiantly stay again.

Owner's Response: Hi Tonya, Thank you for your nice review and feedback. I think with all the rain that Williamsburg has had in the past two months, the yard has suffered. We always enjoy hearing from people who stay at the house. We hope you will book again with us. Enjoy your summer! Thank you, Jan and Graham

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

House is in a great location - close to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Spacious house with room for more than the group of six that we had. My children loved being in the upstairs bedroom. Great communication with the owner. Would visit again!

This sweet house was just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house ,it was close to everything we wanted to see and visit. The grocery store was just around the corner. There was plenty of room ,the beds were nice, the house was clean, plenty of fresh towels and sheets. There is a washing machine and dryer a on the porch. I even got to sit out on the porch and crochet and rock in the rocking chair. It has a nice back yard that my grandchildren played football in on Thanksgiving Day. It is a home away from home!
