Pure Comfort

  • 5 of 5

Not fancy but extremely nice and clean. Plenty of room and great amenities. Very peaceful setting.

The kids loved the spooky mine!

Nice break from the Wi-Fi hustle and bustle.

If you have AT&T cell service, don’t expect a signal.

Would be nice if cabin had a land line for emergencies but we give it A+!!

Hot.

  • 2 of 5

We stayed 4 nights in this cabin the 3rd week of July. While the cabin is beautiful, it was equipped with sheets and blankets suited for winter, not summer. The loft also stayed hot, the kids had to squeeze into the living room to sleep. The only way the upstairs bedrooms had any bit of colder air in them was to keep the fans on and doors closed. While I understand the cabin is dog friendly, it smelled of pure dog. The water smells rich in minerals and sulfa, but the smell doesn't "stick" to you. The location is nice and not far from downtown. We loved swinging on the porches in the evening to unwind. It's a very peaceful location. There is absolutely no (AT&T) cell service, you lose it about a half a mile from the cabin. Amenities were sparse, we had to purchase extra toilet paper and paper towels. Previous guest started writing on the rocks outside lining the flower beds, the kids enjoyed "designing" ours, it's a nice touch. Overall we had a hot stay.

Overall great, but a couple of issues

  • 4 of 5

This was a great cabin. Plenty of space, and back off the main road, so it was very quiet. It wasn't perfect, however. For one, the water had an overwhelming sulfur smell. Make sure you bring plenty of bottled water. They really need to put a filtration system on the well, as other reviews show we're not the first to experience this issue. Also, if you have AT&T cell service you are completely in the dark at the cabin and need to drive half a mile towards the highway to get any service at all. There's no internet access at the cabin and no land line either. Some people will love this ability to disconnect completely, but when you're attempting to coordinate with several groups of people and research places to eat and visit in town it's very difficult. If these two issues could be addressed it'd be a five star property.

My family was very impressed with this property...a great vacation get-away!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin itself was perfect...clean, had all the necessities we needed, and plenty of room. My boys LOVED the little Creek that ran behind the cabin. They spent much time looking for crayfish. The property was beautiful and well taking care of. The large back porch was a nice surprise. We grilled out there and played board games (brought from home). I highly recommend this property if you are considering a stay in the Hot Springs area. It was our central hub for Hot Springs, Crater of Diamonds State Park, and Little Rock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and loved Arkansas!!!!
