Lakeview condo...Ski down to the Heavenly Ski Lift

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,400 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 2 - 5 nights

About the property

Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8-10

'The Lakeview condo has it all. Amazing Views of Lake Tahoe to the West and Eastern Views of the Carson Valley and the Nevada Desert. You're only 4 miles from the South Lake Tahoe casinos but a world away from the flat and boring lots on the California side. (We don't show the home's address and map location for your security....this site just shows the location as the casinos in South Lake Tahoe, but we are four miles up the road by two of Heavenly's ski lifts). You can ski out and down to the Boulder lift and lodge at Heavenly from the front door. Or the Stagecoach express ski lift is 300 yards away. In the Summer time step out the front door and you're on the world famous Tahoe Rim Trail. No need to drive anyplace. The pool and hot tub are 100 yards from the condo, and you can see it from the window. The famous Fox and Hound bar and grill is 500 yards away as well as the ski rental shop. Just inquire by email and I'll make you my best deal! (Direct Inquiries can usually get a better deal than the Book Now feature as you avoid booking fees by dealing with the owner directly!)

• 3 Bedrooms • 2 Bathrooms

• Large Wood Burning Fireplace and outdoor BBQ

• Enjoy Sunsets overlooking Lake Tahoe from the balcony

• 3 TV's with DVD Players and Free WI-FI Internet Access

in the Home along with full granite kitchen.

• Less than a minute from the Boulder and Stagecoach Lodge Ski Lift

at Heavenly (ski out when snow permits)

• 4 miles from the Casinos and the Lake Tahoe Beaches

• On the Tahoe Rim need to drive to the trailhead for

hiking...just step out the front door.

I have two spare queen mattresses you can throw down on the floor if you have some extra company. 3 queens in 3 bedrooms, 2 couches, and 2 queen spare mattresses. You're the top unit so you'll never hear a peep from the other condo owners.

About Lawrence

Many of you keep asking me about the aviation art in my home. So I figure it might be a good time to tell you a bit about myself so that you have an idea whose home you are visiting while you relax in Tahoe. My dad was an aviation officer candidate and never realized his dream of flying because World War II ended while he was in flight school at Keesler Field in Mississippi. Somehow dad still ended up in Europe in uniform for a few months and met my mom, a German girl from Hamburg. The rest is pretty predictable as they ended up settling down in Europe after the war. I was born in Switzerland in 1968 and that’s where we lived until the school system decided at the age of 10 that I was destined to attend some kind of welding vocational school. I knew I wanted to fly so my parents decided to give me another chance and we moved back to the United States in 1980. I attended Middle School and High School in Bellingham, Washington from 1980-1987. The U.S. school system, while imperfect, was the second chance I longed for. The movie 'An Officer and a Gentleman' fueled my dream to fly for the Navy. I finally got that chance when I received a congressional nomination to attend the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. The four years at the Academy were the hardest and most rewarding years of my life. After graduation in 1991 I served as an interpreter for NATO for 6 months before reporting to Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, for flight training. My favorite instructor pilots were all airline pilots and they encouraged me to follow the same course. So I decided to fly the largest jet in the Navy. After 9 years as a Navy Pilot I finally got the opportunity to fly for the largest airlines. I bought this home to ski and hike in my free time. It's my favorite spot in the world. I hope you enjoy it as well. Yours, Larry

Lawrence purchased this condo in 2006

Why Lawrence chose South Lake Tahoe

Stateline, Nevada: Some of the finest scenery in the United States, right next to South Lake Tahoe, but a world away from the casino crowds and on top of the ridge overlooking both Lake Tahoe and the Nevada desert.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Larry and Jen, we just got home and wanted to thank you for the 5 wonderful days we spent at your Mountain View chalet. It was just what we needed and Frank says hello, he enjoyed meeting you on Wednesday. We have been to Tahoe many times but will book with you again because you made it so easy and allowed us to save the cleaning fee. Besides, at the $129 rate per night no one came close. See you next March. Jenna

Tahoe weekend trip

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time renting with Larry and Jen and I will definitely be doing it in the future! They are very easy to get in touch with if you need any info during your stay. The home is so cozy and had everything we needed, from the full kitchen to all of the towels and extra blankets for chilly nights. The view from the condo is amazing and the location is great! Definitely check it out!

Excellent location straddling the Stateline

  • 5 of 5

We had a terrific time at Larry's Lakeview condo last week. It's the third time we've rented from this owner and the third of his vacation rentals up here. The Lakeviews at night are stunning. Great value as well for 3 bedrooms. Easy to deal with and always ready to answer your calls or texts. Simply awesome! Coming back this ski season. Henry

Great value!

  • 4 of 5

First of all I must say that working with the owner of this property was wonderful. Always responsive and available in a timely manner. Second, the location for skiers (which we are not) is unbeatable. The property itself is a great value and if you are a large family, or two or more families you will find this a great deal. One warning, there are lots of stairs, both inside and out, so take that into consideration if you have small children or are not in good shape, and the elevation will make it even more of a challenge if you are a flatlander. We were fine, but glad we didn't have a lot of stuff to haul up and down. I would stay here again if coming with the family and will probably rent for our grown children to go snowboarding sometime in the future.

Great trip to Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent time at Larry's Lakeview condo. A group of 6 friends met for a reunion and booking it could not have been easier. Calling or texting Larry was no issue as he always had an answer or solution to our plans from having a high class dinner one night or finding a secluded beach, he recommended Chimney Beach, and we agree with that. The 3/2 condo was great, clean, uncluttered, and offered a spacious area to eat and spread out. For the prices others charge this place is a no brainier. Carsten

Fantastic Fall at the top of the world

  • 5 of 5

Just a quick note to Larry and Jennifer who own the Lakeview condo. Super job on making the booking easy and giving us a great deal. Larry flies for a living and he finds a way to pick up the phone anyplace and answer your booking questions. It was our first time booking a home and we just loved it. Comfy, clean, and no one came close to his price for this location in Tahoe Village at the top of the ridge. Astounding views to boot. We will see you this Spring again. Thanks for serving Larry! Carlos Jr.
