A three bedroom, two bathroom well maintained private chalet centrally located on 1 wooded acre 2.5 miles from Seven Springs, 10 miles from Hidden Valley and 1 mile from Laurel Hill State Park. A beautiful stone fireplace in the living room that rises 22 feet to the peak of the cathedral ceiling invites you to enjoy a warm fire anytime there's a chill in the air. The front of the house is a wall of windows that makes it possible for you to look out on the snow of winter, the green of summer and the reds and golds of autumn. A large wrap-around deck is also available for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the Laurel Mountains. A fire pit adds to the fun and relaxation! Circular driveway has easy dual access and room for at least 5-6 cars.
We built this chalet in 1979 and it's been a labor of love ever since. We live in the Pittsburgh area, so we are able to maintain and closely monitor the property, allowing you to enjoy your time in the Laurel Highlands.
Al Meucci Real Estate purchased this chalet in 1979
The chalet is centrally located for skiing, golfing, biking, sightseeing and enjoying the two state parks located nearby. The fire pit is also a lot of fun and great for making s'mores for the kids!
If you're looking for something more than just a rental property, look no further. You've found it.
Our family got together at the Slack Shack for a family weekend. We shared many "memories" from watching old home movies to 2 grandsons skiing for the first time. The cabin really feels like "home" & could not be any more accommodating. We hope to be back.
A group of friends stayed here in early February 2017. The house comfortably sleeps 6 and has the ability to sleep 8 if the pullout bed is used. It's located just down the main County Line Rd, about 10 minutes from the base of Seven Springs. This house has everything you need, a fireplace, free wifi, stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, laundry room. Great place for a small group of people. The Real Estate group they use was very easy to work with and I highly recommend staying here.
The Slack Shack is quite possibly the cleanest property we have stayed on through VRBO. It is only about a 5 minute ride to Seven Springs. The recent updates are lovely and we quite enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine left by the owners! Thank you for such a great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Slack Shack! The house had everything we needed for our girls weekend getaway. The location was perfect, just a short drive down the road to get to Seven Springs ski resort. I would definitely stay here again.
Immaculately clean. Is clear the owners take tremendous pride in their home ... Refreshing & most appreciated.
Very nice for family getaway, kitchen has everything that you could need. Bedrooms and bathrooms very nice and clean. Just a few minutes from 7Springs Resort. We would rent it again.
This is a comfy, clean & cozy mountain home. I love it here! Love the lighter brighter bathrooms and bedrooms! The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. Has a warm inviting fireplace that's perfect for those cold winter nights. Also love the tv in the master bedroom. It's just a hop skip and jump from Seven Springs! I also love that it is super close to Glade Pikes Winery!!! 🍷 This is the perfect place to relax and unwind! Definitely recommend it to everyone! Perfect place to make many beautiful memories with family and friends! Can't wait for my next visit to the Slack Shack!
