About Jim Woodward
(Picture to the left is a Spring atv ride on one many of scenic roads) My wife, Mary, and I enjoy outdoor activities, meeting people, and sharing our place. We love the Flint Hills and Lake Wabaunsee.
Jim Woodward purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Jim Woodward chose Alma
I bought this lot in 1977 because of the beautiful view. I'm glad to finally build such a beautiful place on it!
What makes this Cabin unique
The whole feel of the place is special. It is warm and cosy. It is on a steep lot and looking down at the lake through the hard wood trees. It has an almost "tree house feel" to it. It has a stairway down to a private dock on a no wake cove.

Not what we expected
This cabin was chosen because the picture... it looked as though it would be easy access, but it was hard to find and driveway was difficult to maneuver in our van. Really cute cabin, terrible bed. Other than that, beautiful location and lovely idea. Too expensive.
Very clean well stocked property. Amenities are great always a very relaxing stay.
Thanks for the great feedback. I sent it on to Diane our cleaning lady, it made her happy to hear. Jim
Cannot recommend enough
Jim's communication was prompt, helpful, and kind, and his lovely cabin is a truly special place to visit. Located in the beautiful Flint Hills, his lakeside property is a peaceful retreat with no shortage of scenic views and cool water for swimming or rowing. His cabin is stocked with ample supplies for anything one might need--from utensils to cookware to towels. I cannot thank Jim enough for making my reservation on short notice and for providing the backdrop for a stay I will not forget!
So glad you had a good time and very nice to hear!
Love it at Lake Wabaunse! Cabin is amazing and very clean.
We loved staying here. Very peaceful and relaxing. Jim was great in making sure we were comfortable. Cabin was clean and had all the essentials for our stay. We will definitely be returning.
It was a great cabin to stay in. I had to cut my stay short due to family emergency, but I would love to stay there on my next trip home.
Mainly, people enjoy their loved ones and the quietness of the lake and the scenic rural flint hills. There is a local rodeo, gravel road bike races, yearly burning of the tall grass and real cattle drives. There is a lot of wild life, there have been as many as 13 bald eagles have been seen in the air at one time. People come in several times a year for both deer and turkey hunting. Paxico is near and has many antique shops as does Alma.
