Pros: Great Location on the lake. Great spot if you have family at the campgrounds. Very nice property manager. Well stocked kitchen. Nice back deck and table with chairs. Loved sipping coffee and eating breakfast out there in the morning! Outdoor shower was very useful for spraying sand off feet. Quiet. The dining room table (picnic table) was nice for the kids. The closet was stocked with some fishing poles and couple life jackets. Nice beach. Short drive to downtown Traverse City, which is an awesome place. About 45 min drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Not too shabby.

Cons: The pictures are dated! It is not as secluded as it probably once was. There are very close neighbors on both sides of the house as well as corresponding docks on the lake. The landscaping could really use some work (looked pretty neglected). It was pretty clean on first inspection, although we started to question it when we found sand and plant material on the beds and little boys' underwear (not from our family, all the kids are girls) in the cushions of the couch. The row boat is ancient and impossible to steer. Kayak was supposed to be there, but was not. Air conditioner kept us cool, but we didn't realize there was only 1 in the living room. So, if you want to keep cool at night, the bedroom doors need to be left open. Takes away from privacy which wasn't a huge deal for us since we were all family, but may matter more for multi-family renters. Would not recommend this place if you have a boat trailer. Very steep driveway and restricted parking room.

Would I rent this place again? I would if I was in a pinch. Would I recommend it? Yes, however if able to afford something else or weren't restricted to this lake (like we were), I would go in that direction.
