This is a unique, 100 year old, oceanview ranch on the California coast with a private path to the beach.
Immediately fronting the property is an oceanfront pedestrian road where you can walk or bike to town or to MacKerricher State Park. Beach cruiser bicycles are provided. There are llamas and horses on the property. You can view whales, an extraordinary variety of birds, deer, and other wildlife from the ocean view deck or from the spotting scope inside the house.
This is a great place for a large family gathering and intimate weddings but may not be suitable for people with extreme allergies due to the animals on the property. Wonderful for all ages!! This is a highly scenic property that you will never forget.
The 100 year old Nye Ranch was a 100+ acre dairy farm originally built by the Johnson and Nye families from Finnland. The owners in the 1940s, the Gillespies, built the original cabin at MacKerricher State Park where one of their boys was born. This is a truly historic ranch and a unique comfy place to stay on the northern California coast. We honor the tradition of the ranch and practice organic gardening and ranching.
Feels like home. Amazing warmth and
good vibes in this 100 yr old home. Thanks for making it feel so welcoming. Can't wait to return.
The Nye Ranch is perfect. Our family has annual vacations here and everyone LOVES it. Llamas, casual bike rides to town, easy beach access directly in front of the property. This is a cozy warm house with a great deck for large groups.
