This is a gem that is perfect for 1, 2 or many people. The cleanliness, the amenities, the atmosphere is excellent. It sits on the end of the lake in Sebec Lake. The sunsets are gorgeous. The peace is soothing and appreciated.
I grew up in this area and was delighted to enjoy the serenity. It was the only part of Sebec Lake (which is extremely large) I haven't experienced in my lifetime. I plan on returning. Jody, the caretaker, was professional and helpful. The owner was so nice and communicative. I highly recommend it.
I am a local to the Sebec Lake area but live in town and when I found out that extended family was coming from all over the US and Ecuador for a visit, I went online to find a place on the lake for everyone to stay. I could not have been happier with this lake house. It was definitely home to us for the week. The location is just beautiful and the home had all the amenities you would need. It had spacious rooms for all of us to gather, an amazing grass lawn leading down to the lake, a big rock that my oldest son claimed as his own to relax and read on (and my nieces from Alaska and California found many frogs around) and a dock that our friends pulled up to when they took us boating/tubing. We borrowed kayaks for the week and spent many hours doing this and could launch them easily from the shore. There were many games that the house had and we took advantage of these at night and on rainy days. There was no wifi or cable tv and my teenage boys did not complain even one time about this.....AMAZING! Each day brought a new adventure (to include swimming with a bunch of kids over to the island, it was not as close as it appeared lol but a great workout and we swam with a canoe and several rafts for visibility to boaters) We enjoyed every second of our relaxing vacation on Sebec Lake and can't thank Rosemary and Jody enough for a really enjoyable vacation. My in-laws want to make this a yearly place for our family to visit now!!!
