My family and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this cottage. The perfect weather made for fantastic sunsets and campfires. Frank and Ann Marie were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. I highly recommend staying at this piece of Cayuga Lake history! We would definitely stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Onondaga! It's was our family's first trip to the Finger Lakes and the scenery was gorgeous. The cabin was warm, inviting, and honestly really neat. We happened to be down during an exxeptionally hot period and the second floor air conditioner really helped keep the 2nd floor cool. The back deck was wonderful at night to watch the stars and just chat with the kids. Ann Marie and Frank are nicest people and sent us off with ice pops! My little 5 year old daughter said, "I love them - can we see them soon?"! as we pulled away! Great time at a great place!
It was our first time to Cauuga Lake....which is always difficult when you don't know the area or the fishing holes. Frank and Ann were very kind and we really appreciated them allowing out two dogs to vacation in their cottage. The wood work is beautiful inside, the only thing we would have liked was air conditioner units.....it was a very hot week and the house was very hot even with the fans on and all windows open. We were disappointed we couldn't keep our 27 foot pontoon at the house.....due to the dry summer NY has had the water levels were way down and we couldn't risk any damage to our motors lower unit.....very heavy seaweed in the area. Frontenac Marina was very nice where we rented a slip for the week- highly recommend them if your in a pinch. We did not have much fishing luck.,..maybe the huge Bass Tournament the week before was the reason? The lake is very quiet and great for water sports. Thanks again for having our family!
The cabin was rustic and lovely and well-located near a lot of fun activities. It's not perfect for a small child, because the second floor is only reached via ladder-like stairs, and it can get very hot, even in the evenings, but overall a very good experience.
We had a wonderful relaxing time. My husband and I loved our experience at Camp Onondaga. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The cabin was well stocked to make our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed grilling meals as well as eating out. My children enjoyed the boats and the raft. We saw eagle hunting and Blue Herons fishing. A great place to unplug from this busy world and enjoy the simpler things in life. Breathtaking sunsets viewed from the upstairs deck. Loved it. Hope to come again and again.
This was our first visit to the finger lakes and we picked a great spot in Camp Onondaga. The cabin was as advertised and right on beautiful Lake Cayuga. My four boys had a blast on the paddleboat, canoe and rowboat that came with the house. We also rented a motor boat that allowed us to Fish, Tube, and waterski right from the cabins private dock. Each day my wife and I enjoyed watching the sunset from the upstairs porch, sipping wine from the areas wineries.
Frank and Ann were wonderful hosts. They were very accommodating and Frank's potato salad and pickles were a welcome treat. We cant wait to return soon.
