Stayed here Aug 1st 2015 for a week. Had 11 people in our party and it was perfect. Plenty of sleeping room, great backyard to hang out in. We had dinner every night out there was nice to have whole group together at dinner time. Very close to beach 2 blks away and boardwalk. House is very nice, plenty of room so you didnt feel like you were on top of each other all the time. Great place all around!!

Owner's Response: Robbie, So glad you liked our place. It really is perfect for a few families to get together. The 1st floor sleeps 8 so if there is ever more family members/friends that want to come along, both units combined will sleep up to 24 people! I also wanted to thank you for leaving it in such great condition. Especially the back yard. I'd never imagine that 11 people had dinner out there every night. It was in pristine condition! Hope to see you back next year.

Great Rental

We stayed at the upstairs rental in 2011 and 2012. This was a great location and rental for the whole family (dogs included). We are a family of five - 2 adults, 2 twenty-somethings and 1 under 21 adult. As happens with three children, all of driving age, they have friends popping in and out. This house had room for everyone. The older kids were within walking distance to the boardwalk and clubs, so the cars remained parked. The younger one could walk and hang on the boards at night. We enjoyed having our pets with us on vacation, and I personally like taking breaks from the beach and the sun to see to their needs.

We also take vacation every year with 7/8 other families (brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins) scattered around Seaside Park. Our yard was always the gathering spot because of its great size and location and the easy walk to the heights.

It was always clean upon check-in and easy to clean for check-out. The Rossi family always answered our questions in a speedy and friendly manner. We enjoyed our time at this house. After taking a break from the Jersey shore this past summer, we are already looking forward to summer 2014 back at the beach.

Owner's Response: We love the fact that our renters are able to bring their pets. Being pet owners ourselves, we though it only fair to allow other families to vacation with theirs as well. When our children were just toddlers, it was easy to put them in strollers and walk to the kiddie rides at both the Funtown and Casino Piers. Now they are 9 and 11 and love walking to the Bay by themselves (just two short blocks west) and as a family, we always walk to the boardwalk for ice cream, arcades, pizza and rides. I am sure they can't wait to be old enough to "walk the boards" by themselves...although I for one am not looking forward to that! lol. Thanks for the great review and I look forward to renting to you again next summer!

Not Honest, Not Nice - Do Better Elsewhere...

Wish I could write a glowing review, but our experience was fair at best. As a family group (all homeowner adults), we've been renting properties in & around Seaside for just about 20 yrs. Some were 'eh', some were fantastic, but our experience with the owners have always been pleasant. We booked later than usual & knew we weren't getting a top property. Sandy rendered the area largely unbookable, so we had to be careful in choosing. When we spoke to owner Karen, she told us that the first floor (the 2br) was under renovation but assured us that our upper 4br was fine (with new features 'the pics on the web are old') & that the renovation would be of no bother to us. That wasn't the case. The upper unit smelled musty on arrival & the contractor's screw zipping & other noise did wake some of us as early as 7am daily. The 'old pictures' were as good as current. Nothing changed. Same very worn thrift store furniture & 4 coffee cups that someone left behind. None of this was a real deal breaker, however, when the ceiling over the main room sprung a substantial little plumbing leak & the subsequent work took down a good section of the main ceiling as well as a large section of the bathroom ceiling- requiring a few of us to hang back from 2 of not too many good beach days, we found it a little unfair. The caretaker (a nice enough guy) told us that they'd issue 'some money back for the inconvenience (of being stuck with the work for 2 days)' and that sounded fair. Whatever it was, a gesture was certainly in order. As mentioned, we're old hands at this. We have NEVER left a property unclean. Upon leaving, beds were made, floors were swept & mopped, sinks clean, everything was in place because that's who we are. Left behind, a bag of refuse (Sat isnt a garbage pick up day) and two cans of recycling that Sanitation did not take because the bottles & cans were bagged. We told this to the caretaker who said don't worry, he'll handle it. When it came time to get our DEPOSIT BACK, Karen nastily told us 'that we're lucky we're getting it back because we left the place dirty and left garbage'- she should 'charge us $150 FOR NOT TAKING THE GARBAGE WITH US. (!)' When asked what was dirty, her response was 'there were fingerprints on the table'. Really? Does full rental price buy a reasonable post stay cleaning? A single kitchen towel? More than 4 cups? A construction free vacation? It probably does elsewhere. Sorry about the fingerprints. Find a better person to rent from.

Owner's Response: It's true-there was a leak (we think they actually caused but have no proof). The tenant called stating that there was a small leak in the LR ceiling. I immediately called my caretaker Gary to inform him of a needed repair. The leak was coming from the attic bathroom and they were asked not to use the sink until they could find the broken area of pipe. They were kind and very understanding. Gary arrived later that evening after work to access and said he'd be back the next day with a plumber. All through our communication regarding the leak tenant always said, "no problem, things happen" and " no worries, everything is fine" When all was complete, the tenant even offered Gary a "shot" and a beer and when Gary declined, he proceeded to insist but Gary still said, "No thank you" He did mention to the tenant that, "Dean and Karen are very nice and I am sure they will take care of you, which would have held true if they didn't leave the unit dirty. Floors were not mopped, the mop was bone dry upon their check-out. Nothing was dusted, the toilet bowl was not cleaned. I was never "nasty" or used the words "lucky enough".The lease plainly states to follow the trash/recycling rules posted in the kitchen which says NOT to put the recycling in plastic bags. Gary saying he would 'take care of it', was a misunderstanding. Gary told the tenant the recycling center location suggesting that he take it there himself. The trash was never brought to the curb as there were maggots in the trash cans and Gary had to bleach and hose out the inside of the cans. As to the "musty" smell, I am confused. One of the ladies in his group who walked in (earlier than check-in time) while my cleaning lady was there said, "Wow, this place is spic and span!" He also says there was a "substantial little" plumbing leak - so was it, substantial or little? and - it required a few of them to hang back from 2 of not too many good beach days, (I didn't realize I could control the weather). It was not "required" that anyone stay behind during the repair - that was their decision. The tenant checking in after said this: "I do think we left the apartment in tip-top condition, the renters before us did not. Something had spilled in the bottom of the refrigerator under the crispers and it was not cleaned out. Also, the waste basket next to the refrigerator wasn't cleaned out. just a plastic liner set in. The bottom was dirty and inside the lid was disgusting" What more can I say?

We were nicely surprised upon entering the apt. Pi

We were very pleasantly surprised after entering the door of the apt. Pictures did not properly convey the roominess, comfort and look of this place. Well taken care of and inviting. Beds very comfortable. A real "beachy" feeling. Plenty of room in fenced backyard for nice family get-togethers and barbecuing. Owner very cooperative.

We lived in Seaside Park for many years. So much to do; beach (2 blocks up), boardwalk (2 blocks up and 1 block over), just a couple of miles from mall, 45 min. ride to AC, food shopping on same side of bridge, many nice restaurants to choose along strip.

We would definitely recommend this site/property for your next vacation to the Seaside area. You will not be disappointed!

to do. With some 3,000 acres of beaches and nature trails, the sprawling enclave of Island Beach

State Park (just a few miles South of Seaside Park) dominates the central part of the county's coast.

It should be at the top of any nature-lover's itinerary.
