Cut and quiet
Great place to stay and close to Barrows Neurological Institute where I found myself unexpectedly having to spend a lot of time at. Owner is very quiet, unobtrusive, friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you!!
we recently stayed here for spring training and it was the ideal location for us. quiet, historic neighborhood, lovely wild flowers and gardens, quiet vrbo. Lots of amenities: A/C, ceiling fans, powerful shower, lots of towels, washing machine, 2 lovely dogs named Jack & Gracie and Mischief the cat. A gorgeous grapefruit tree smells heavenly as you sit outside or on the top deck. Safeway near for groceries. Comfy bed, pillows and small sofa down near kitchen. the downstairs is quite small. but there is a small table with 2 stools to sit at for coffee or better yet, sit outside. Doreen was super nice and was always quick to respond to any questions. The Coronado neighborhood is quickly being rejuvenated and everyone takes pride in their homes. i would say 2 fit comfortably and as others have said, the bed is upstairs, the bathroom down a flight of spiral staircase. we recommend strongly. lovely vrbo.
Very well kept, clean, safe, & central to anywhere you want to go in the area.
We loved our stay at this clean, cozy little treehouse in Phoenix. Doreen was a perfect host, always available to answer any questions & give us directions to anywhere we wanted to go. We were in town for 6 games of the Brewers spring training so were out & about a lot but were able to enjoy her outside sitting area by the firepit in the mornings when we were not walking around the neighborhood. We felt quite safe in the neighborhood & there is a park located right across the street. Also the property is located close to restaurants & a grocery store. The yard is beautiful with many plants & a beautiful grapefruit tree. Each morning we were greeted by Jack & Gracie & Mischief & Sweet Pea, the 2 dogs & 2 cats, who came for treats Doreen had provided for us to "make friends." They are all very sweet. We had been on the road for 7 days before arriving & it was so nice to have a washer & dryer available to do laundry. Doreen was available to explain how to work the washer & dryer. She was very accommodating. There is a spiral staircase inside to get from the 1st floor to the 2nd but outside is a stairway to get up to the deck that is right outside the bedroom, so we took all of our luggage up that stairway when we arrived & then down it when we left. It was very convenient. We would recommend this little home away from home to anyone coming to Phoenix.
It was a delight to meet you both and hear about your daily exploits! I am so glad you found the tree house a good respite! Safe travels!
Perfect spot to explore Phoenix from
The casita had everything we wanted plus cats , dogs and a very gracious hostess. There was enough room for all our needs and the upstairs bedroom was wonderful. It took us no time at all to learn to negotiate the spiral staircase. The surrounding neighbourhood is wonderful and we spent many hours walking around trying to decide which home we liked best. We enjoyed meeting the community at the opening of the Community Garden and found everybody to be very friendly. We would recommend this home to anybody who has an interest in historical homes and loves a quiet , safe , walkable neighbourhood. There were several nice restaurants within walking distance and it was an easy drive to any thing else you would need.
Myrna and Dan
I was delighted when Dan and Myrna told me that they walked almost every street in the neighborhood. I love the Coronado neighborhood and am happy they did too! I loved sharing the history of things they discovered along their walks.
I am pretty sure my pets miss them! They kept running back to see if they were home every morning after Dan and Myrna left.
While I allow my guests as much privacy as they desire, I also enjoy getting to know them.. Dan and Myrna were very welcoming to me and I truly enjoyed getting to know them and sharing a glass of wine listening to their daily excursions!
Cozy living space with all amenities provided and great location!
Loved our stay in this wonderful VRBO property. Many sites to relax with outside sitting space and balcony with chairs. Upstairs has good lighting with dramatic architecture. Felt especially secure with gated access to yard and good neighborhood vibe. Hostess was gracious and accommodating. Spiral iron staircase was pretty and relatively easy to navigate, important since we are upper middle-aged and the bathroom was downstairs from the bedroom. We highly recommend this property!
A Lovely Relaxing Setting in Historic Phoenix
A lovely two story casita with shady outdoor garden setting. Spacious upper bedroom with small deck, nice for morning coffee. It is located across from a large park and has nice eating places right in the neighborhood. Apartment is in excellent condition and owner very nice and accommodating. Laundry facilities were very handy and is supplied with many little extras. We were greeted each morning by two dogs and a cat. All friendly and well behaved. Great for two and must be able to do stairs. It is also a very secure and private setting. Enjoyed it very much.

restaurants, coffee shops, all with in walking distance. Hospital,

Comments from Guests:
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Your treehouse is so cute, cozy and accommodation. Thank you for the grapefruit and lemons. We also truly enjoyed your friendly loving pets, Annie and Mischief.
Your recommendations for sightseeing and activities are right on - we enjoyed all of them. L'Auberge in Sedona was a wonderful lunch.
We are happy that our journey brought us here and fortunate to have met you. Our stay here was indeed an experience to remember fondly.
