Perfect, Private Cottage in Phoenix.

  • 5 of 5

I traveled to Phoenix to teach classes over a 2 day period and stayed at this little cottage. It seems to be brand, spanking new inside, it's clean, modern and just perfect for 1-2 people who just need a place to come relax at night and wind down from the day. The upstairs bedroom is inviting, the bed is comfortable. I slept very well. Bring your own coffee, as all there was is decaf...but there is a Starbucks only about 3/4 mile away, so no big deal. I would stay here again any time, I highly recommend.

Cozy getaway for two

  • 5 of 5

We loved stayed here for our Spring Training trip this year! The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we enjoyed how close we were to most of the stadiums and some great restaurants. Would definitely return and recommend!

Very secure and safe place. It is across the street from a great park.

What a location,5 minutes from the city 3 minutes from route 17 and maybe 7 minutes from route 10.

Encanto Golfcourse is a 10 minute drive and that is a great municipal track.

Our host has two dogs. Jack just wants petting and biscuits and Gracey really shy. They both respond to the sound of the gate which is great security. I'm

Perfect for two!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location in a safe neighborhood for our two week visit to Phoenix. Very quite and private with quick access to the interstate. Just right for a home base to visit other locations from.

The lower level is cozy and works well for two people. Very clean and all the amenities you need, not to mention a great shower! The upper level bedroom is huge! Plenty of closet and dresser space providing for storing your clothes and other items. There is a small deck off the second level bedroom to enjoy a coffee in the morning or pick a fresh grapefruit when in season!

Jack and Gracie (Doreen's two dogs) were great! They would greet us each morning and occasionally in the evening which was nice as we missed our two pups back home.

All in all, I recommend this place for any single or couple looking for an affordable, clean, safe place close to the Phoenix metro. Doreen is a wonderful host!

Fantastic experience!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in Doreen's casita for a month while I was working at a local hospital for medical school. I consider myself lucky for finding such a nice place to stay. First of all, Doreen is a very friendly and helpful person; I enjoyed my chats with her very much. Her dogs and cats were nice neighbors and made my stay feel more comfortable since I love animals. The grapefruit tree and Doreen's garden made everything feel like a little paradise within central Phoenix.

The casita itself had everything I needed, so I was quite comfortable throughout the whole month. The natural light I got on the upper bedroom floor was unbeatable. I was able to walk around the neighborhood on my way to a restaurant/bakery called "Nami" a few blocks away which had some awesome soy-based ice cream sundays! The neighbors were all friendly, so I felt safe as well. There were many people running and riding their bikes around the neighborhood and the park across the street, which was nice to see.

I really have nothing bad to say about my experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind a few furry friends in the yard. I will definitely come back!

Thank you Doreen!

Comments from Guests:

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Your treehouse is so cute, cozy and accommodation. Thank you for the grapefruit and lemons. We also truly enjoyed your friendly loving pets, Annie and Mischief.

Your recommendations for sightseeing and activities are right on - we enjoyed all of them. L'Auberge in Sedona was a wonderful lunch.

We are happy that our journey brought us here and fortunate to have met you. Our stay here was indeed an experience to remember fondly.
