David Dondero purchased this chalet in 1986
Very reasonably priced and well maintained chalet in a rustic setting with great views and use of the lake which is about 75 feet from the house. A favorite feature is the stone fire pit located about 10 feet from the water (great for late night campfires, storytelling, and marshmellow roasting).
Peace, quiet + water activities.
This place was exactly what we were looking for. It was true to it's discription and the depth of water at the end of dock was great for my three boys who love to dive/swim and NO weeds was a plus! Dave was super to us and phoned to make sure we found everything and that we were comfortable. We have a 20ft boat and this place is perfect for docking your boat and the lake is great for a day of water sports! There is a free ramp approx. 2 miles down the road and only minutes to the property by boat. The only reason I have not given this place 5 stars is because of the BBQ on the deck. The grills/racks inside are on there last leg, so makes it more difficult to grill on it. We improvised because we love to BBQ and did almost every night. (Who knows...maybe the grills will be replaced when we return this year in July;) Other than that...WONDERFUL!
We just booked our second stay for this location. This is a very lovely, well kept home you will sure to love. The owner is very personable and very nice to work with. It is a very short walk to a beautiful stream running through the mountain and it was so scenic, we snapped at least 30 photos of the kids there. The kids loved their "private" area in the loft, made them feel very special. Cooking was very easy in this kitchen, spices and cookery on hand made it actually enjoyable. The fire pit on the lake at night was a big hit, be sure to pack the smores for a family vacation thats sure to leave lasting memories. We love to fish, & the Pac is just such a fantastic, beautiful lake. You really dont need to look any further, as we didnt bother for our second booking.
This was our second year staying at the chalet, and once again we truly enjoyed our week at the lake - this chalet was just PERFECT!
Our first impression as we walked in was how very clean and well taken care of the lake house is. I really appreciated the new dock, and the buoy was perfect for docking our Sea-Doo. We easily had room for 10 at the dinner table, and with so much room to relax in the beautiful open living area, everyone had their choice of a nice quiet place to rest after a long day on the water. Morning coffee on the big deck was really nice, as was grilling dinner. The kids loved the lofted bedroom area, and we all had nice private bedrooms as well - we sure did not feel like were were on top of each other here, that's for sure. The size of the place fools you - sure is bigger than the pictures look!
We all had a blast on the big dock - great for fishing or swimming and yet it still felt very private as the neighbors docks were a nice distance away.
We sure look forward to coming back here again and again!! Thanks for providing such a great place for us to make wonderful memories.
