Beautifully decorated and fully furnished cottage less than 1 block
from the Berrien Street beach in Union Pier Michigan.
We bought this two bedroom, two bath cottage in 1999 after walking past it each day on our way to the beach while it was under construction. It has five skylights and vaulted cielings so that it feels like a large cottage by the beach. A kitchen with all the amenities will allow you to make the beach lunches as well as a dinner when you decide to cook instead of going out.

The girls decided that we all wanted a short get away to make memories and have a great time. We also hoped to find a place we could consider "our vacation getaway" to take many trips back to and Weiler Cottage definitely became this place for us.
The cottage is attractive and very clean. The sky lights leave the place bright and open. This place was beautifully decorated that bordered on high end making this place an even better get away for the price we paid. We literally felt like we were taking a significant break from reality by choosing this cottage. Having the two bathrooms helped with 6 women in the house. The beds were comfy as was the sofa!
The open layout from kitchen, dining room, and living room allowed everyone to be interacting while in different areas. There was plenty of space for us all to move around without being on top of each other.
The front porch and yard area allowed for a small fire (unfortunately it rained the night we were there so we didn't get to experience it!) No firewood was provided so that's something to keep in mind on the list of things to bring!
The beautiful beach is a very short walk down a residential road which is easy for any group (including little ones) to get to.
This home provided games and movies for entertainment while inside which paired well with a cozy fireplace inside that added to the experience all around!!
Gregg was great at communicating and getting back to us with any questions we had, which was a huge help in considering staying at this property. Like stated at the beginning, our group will definitely be choosing this spot to visit time and time again!
Look no further for your vacation! Whether you are going with family or a group of friends this place as it all. Clean, well maintained and stocked, less than 1 minute walk to a beautiful beach. Short drive to wine tours and New Buffalo. There is a small grocery store in short walking distance along with a restaurant for when you just don't want to drive anywhere. The cottage has everything you could need or want including chairs, beach umbrella, games, movies, and even toys for the kids. I can not say enough good things about this place. We went there for a girls trip and fit 6 girls comfortable in the cabin. We have already talked about going back it was so wonderful!
LOVED, loved, loved our time at Weiler Cottage...and I'm already ready to go back :)
This was our first stay in Union Pier and the Weiler Cottage did not disappoint! We loved the cottage from the moment we walked in...clean, updated with all the necessary amenities and full of sunlight - we immediately felt at home from the moment we walked in the door.
The beach and neighborhood are amazing...just perfect for our quick family getaway! Beach is a couple blocks away with beautiful sand and clear water.
Close to everything (restaurants, shopping, dunes, etc.) but not right in the 'thick of everything' which is exactly what we wanted in our beach vacation.
My two boys (2 and 7 years old) are already asking when they can go back! I would recommend Weiler Cottage to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, relaxing getaway.
Weiler Cottage was everything we hoped for and more!!! Very welcoming and cozy..we just fell in love with this home! We had a lot of family time playing games every night!! I high recommend Weiler Cottage as a vacation home for everyone! Yes, the beach is as close as stated! Can't wait to book for next year!!!
We have stayed in the area several times - in at other properties. This little cottage was clean, well equipped and conveniently located to all.
We love to walk the neighborhood and it's very close to the beach access. We already booked for summer!
I had a wonderful stay at the Weiler Cottage last week! I arrived with five of my friends and had a blast, largely due to how great the property was. The cottage itself was remarkably clean and had literally everything you could ever want: full kitchen (they even had lots of bake ware, if you have a baker on your trip), entertainment (VHS's, DVDs, games), and extra toiletries in the bathrooms just in case you forgot to pack something. The nearby beach is beautiful, but tends to be a bit more crowded on the weekends. When we arrived on Thursday, it was nearly deserted so if you have the chance to come on mostly weekdays, I'd highly recommend that. Union Pier was also pretty close to Eu Claire (where we picked delicious cherries) as well as Saugatauk (which had a lively nighttime scene and lots of adorable shops) so the location is pretty great- it took us a little over an hour to drive from Chicago. The cottage owner was also very friendly and willing to help out with suggestions since it was our first time in Michigan. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay!
Check out the harborcountry site for all that is happening currently
in the area. People come here to lay on the beach, go antiquing, eat
at the restaurants, u-pick the Michigan fruits and vegetables, golf,
