The Chippewa River Lodge. Over 7,000 sq. ft. under one roof. Formerly a famous resort lodge and restaurant, the Chippewa Pines.
The Chippewa River Lodge is a great place to host family reunions, corporate outings, corporate meetings, fishing trips, snowmobile outings, or any event where lots of space and plenty of sleeping accommodations are needed.
The Lodge, located across the river from the famous Tuscobia Trail, the longest ATV and Snowmobiling trail in Wisconsin, is available by the week or weekends. There is a large kitchen for preparing your best fixings. The separate dining room overlooks the front yard, shaded with hundred-year-old pines, and the Chippewa River. The classic pine sitting parlor, located between the dining room and bar, is a nice place for relaxing between activities.
The Classic Bar area (included in the rental rate, you supply your own spirits), with its stone fireplace surrounded and comfy couches, is a great place to tell fish stories. The game room area has a pool table, ping pong table and darts, where you can prove your skill. Have a look at some of these rooms with our virtual lodge tour on our website.
If you get bored inside just step outside and enjoy the spacious yard that gently slopes to the Chippewa River. You can take a trip down the River in one of six Kayaks or the Canoe included with the rental of the Lodge.

Comments: Hi Dave,
Half of our party left today, with the other half leaving tomorrow. We all had a grand, grand time here. It was more than I'd dared hope for. Bob was very helpful, but the Lodge and nature took the best care of us. It was the perfect vacation/family reunion place, the best we've ever had.
I just wanted to let you know.
Our family had a great time and found the facility very adequate. We had a blast and are thinking of going here again next year. There was plenty enough room for all. There were so many rooms that we didn't feel crowded at all. Plenty of room for getting away from everyone if you needed a break. The young kids swam, kayaked, and played in the playroom. The older ones did that also and played pool, darts and ping pong. The bar was a favorite hangout for all and the coolers kept all beverages cold. The only problem we had was that there was no large mixing bowl for making our pasta salad. Other than that, the place was perfect!
We had an AMAZING time at the lodge! It was our first family fourth of July vacation and the lodge exceeded all of our expectations. We kept plenty busy with four wheeling, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, going into Winter for parade/truck pull, and all of the other amenities that the lodge had to offer. The kids enjoyed the vacation with the many activities offered for them - play room, basketball, game room, and large outdoor space to bike and burn off energy. We used the fire pits, bar area, and huge dining area to get some card games going. We over packed not realizing that the kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Washer and dryer was also helpful. We definitely plan on coming back in the near future. Made many great memories on this vacation.

We found the lodge much better than advertized! Our family ranged from age 1 to 71 and everyone found lots to do. The owner had some great ideas that made our stay a wonderful experience ! There was a much larger variety of toys, books and kitchen needs than we expected. The kayaks were great and the idea of staking them and using a rope gave the younger children the thrill of "going alone". We had so much fun inside as well as outside the lodge that the only other place we went was the Pow Wow that the owner told us about. The little ones were even able to join in the dance ! The huge space available in the lodge (as well as outside) gave all of us as much quiet or "fun time" as each one wanted. The playroom inside and the playhouse plus sand box outside was used every day. What a beautiful place to have a family reunion! I would certainly love to return!
The Chippewa River Lodge was a wonderful location for such a milestone. My Mom and Dad (80 years old, celebrating their 60th Anniversary) were so pleased with the Lodge. There was plenty of room for the 23 in our party. We have many 20 - 30 year olds in our family who are not as flexible with their time as us older ones, but they were able to come when they could. There were activities for everyone and nobody was ever bored. One thing that really stands out about this property versus other similar properties is the number of gathering spaces and the fact that all of the gathering spaces and 3 bedrooms are on the 1st floor. That made it very easy for the ones who don't use stairs as well to participate in all of the activities. The outside space in beautiful and private. We used the Kayaks, canoe, basketball court, and the volleyball court. We also did a lot of fishing and my son did some frog catching. The age range of people staying there was 12 years old - 80 years old. Oh...and there are two fire pits too. AND the kitchen was stocked with items that we didn't expect (big roaster, two crock pots, two skillets). There is also two refrigerators PLUS a huge bar cooler behind the bar so we were able to put all of our beverages in there. The owner made sure we were taken care of and attended to any needs that we had. I could go on and on and on and on. I can't say enough. Thank you for providing such nice accommodations for our family for such a grand celebration. The memories are PRICELESS!!!
Third stay at the lodge. Just keeps getting better and better as usual. Never mind the weather still plenty to do with the family band, family contest, etc. Visiting local sites not seen before and even got in two tubing trips down the river from the Wannigan directly to the lodge. Not more can one large family ask for.
The Tuscobia State Trail is directly across the river, a popular trail for ATVs and snowmobiles. It is legal to ATV from the Lodge to the Trail on CTY Road G.
