My husband & I grew up and went to college in Michigan. We liked the summers in Michigan, but not the cold winters, so we moved to our dream city of Sarasota in 1977. It was a good decision. We have two grown and married daughters who also enjoy the benefits of living in this beautiful city. We are looking forward to time with our family and grandchildren building sandcastles on the white sands of Lido Beach.

We have always loved the sun, the white sandy beaches and the sparkling blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We enjoy our home in Sarasota, but wanted to be closer to the beach. So we looked around at properties on the local keys. We were thrilled to find our condo right across from beautiful Lido Beach, and a short walk to St. Armands Circle. Throughout the years that we have owned this condo, we rent it in the winter months, and we live there in the summer months. This has worked out well for us and our guest tenants.
We love the location right across from the pristine Lido Public Beach. When you leave the condo, it is a one minute walk and you are relaxing on the beach! This location is also convenient as it is an easy 7 minute walk to famous St. Armand's Circle, filled with interesting stores, ice cream shops, casual and fine dining. It is also just fun to stroll and people watch on the circle!
My wife and I have been vacationing in
Sarasota for 8 years and never consider staying anywhere else but this condo. It is comfortable and easy to maintain. It is a short walk to the beach. in fact you can see the Gulf from the lanai. There is very little traffic in this area. The kitchen has been remodeled and is more than adequate. Also, the bathrooms where remodeled in 2013 and are very nice. We like the bike racks for our bikes and there is an area for washing our car. The residents are friendly and very helpful. And did I mention the pool? Very beautiful and very private.
We have stayed at this condo three times in the past year and have enjoyed our visits. The kitchen has been recently remodeled and is high end and very well stocked. We appreciate the many games, books, and TV's in every room. The condo is always clean and well maintained. You can enjoy nice views of the beach and City of Sarasota. The location is a plus being only a short walk to the beach and St. Armands Circle. We plan to stay here again soon.
The process undertaken to rent the condo was extremely easy. The landlord was accomodating and cordial, even to the point of offering the unit early at no charge because the previous tenants vacated a few days early. When we arrived, the landlord was waiting in the parking lot with a luggage cart.Pretty good so far. When we got to the unit, he unlocked the door and the latch fell off. Oh, oh! He showed us around, completing his checklist of where everything was and how everything worked. He told us that he and his wife had cleaned the unit the day before, which was not the "professional" cleaning noted in the rental agreement. Oh, oh, again! Below is the list of items and conditions that we found completely unacceptable:
*The floors had not been cleaned, nor had the carpets been vacuumed. In fact, the vacuum cleaner was broken.
*The cupboards were full of crums and dirt
*The small appliances were dirty
*Dishes in the cupboard were dirty
*The bathrooms were atrocious. The valance lights were filthy, the shower grout was moldy, even the bath mats had to be thrown away because they couldn't be washed.
*The master bedroom has an king size "air matterss" the most uncomfortable bed you can imagine. We bought new pillows. The one's on the bed were flat.
*There was a woman's hair roller full of hair under the bed.
*The beach chairs were rusty and ripped. We threw one away. Bought 2 new. The beach umbrella is broken.
*All the windows were filthy. We bought a long handled scrubber and washed them ourselves.
*None of furniture had been moved to clean under. The plastic house plants need to go through a car wash.
The unit is in a great location and there are 32 in the building. The neighbors are nice. Our suggestion is, pick one of the other 31 to call home for a couple months.
