AnnaMaria has been the vacation destination for families growing up in central Florida for generations.
Old Florida atmosphere. No high-rise buildings. Three stories is the maximum. Good restaurants. White sandy beaches.
When we first walked in, it was "Wow!". Very spacious, well stocked condo, beautiful view of the ocean, just steps from the beach. This condo had EVERYTHING in it; the best stocked place we have ever stayed. Viewing the sunsets from the balcony was amazing. The location was great, very easy to get around the island, plenty of restaurants. We rented bikes for the week and went everywhere. The beach was not crowded, did not have to fight for a spot. Beach chairs and umbrella were provided, which is a must for us as we like to spend lots of time at the beach. George and Josie were very easy to work with. We would definitely rent from them again. You will not be sorry if you rent this condo.
My wife and I have stayed in various locations on the island over the years, but we both agree - our search for the perfect vacation rental has ended. We found it in Josie and George's slice of Paradise on 68th Street.
This was a special trip for us as we were celebrating our 5th Anniversary. As always, we were counting the days down to our vacation. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that the pictures online could not do this condo justice. It was even more beautiful being there. The decorations are not of your typical beach getaway but of a home we would want to move into. Very warm and inviting, with a playful feel of Aztec surroundings. You can sense that a lot of thought went into the renovation, from the custom designed closets and cabinets, the granite kitchen counter-tops and the modern appliances. Most of all, the king size bed was the most comfortable bed we have had the pleasure of sleeping on in a vacation rental!
As for Josie and George, we felt like family working with them from the start. We inquired about the property and had a few questions prior to booking which were answered within an hour! All through the booking process and up to arrival, they kept in contact with us. The little touches of ensuring that out payment was received, giving us our check in instructions and how to make final payment (which was not required until we ensured everything met our satisfaction after we checked in - unreal) and even letting us know that exterior painting, which was to be completed prior to our arrival, would still be continuing while we were there and that if we would like to re-book, we could. We didn't but probably should have. Not because of the painting - but because of Tropical Storm Hermine! :)
While we spent most of our trip inside and not how we planned on the lovely beach out our front door, we could not have weathered the storm in more comfort! George checked in on us through the storm and even took time from their vacation to advise us how to reset their cable tv. My wife and I cooked in more on this trip than any before so we can honesty say we were lacking nothing in the kitchen and thankfully the Publix and Dollar Tree that we love to go to go to are very convenient. And while the surf looked much different than you see in these pictures and what we were used to, we had a sense of calm in the storm. :)

If you are looking for an amazing view, fully equipped condo, and great location - this is your place! Unlike many of the other rentals you will see on the beach, this complex only has 10 total units. This results in easy parking, easy access to the beach, and plenty of space on beach right in front of the building. We loved being on the 2nd floor with the larger patio (that provided shade most of the day), ceiling fan, and furniture that was perfect for relaxing with coffee, mid-day snack, or evening cocktail. The layout of the condo inside was great and well taken care of. Outside of food - everything needed was there. Our only hesitation prior to renting was the location on AMI and the shared laundry. We did laundry multiple times and didn't have an issue at all with having access to it. And while there is not much walkable from the condo, you can use the free trolley - or even the golf carts that are tip only/a small fee. And in the end, being on a quieter end of the island was WAY better! Lastly, Josie and George were wonderful to work with. Starting with the initial inquiry, during the reservation and arrival process, and throughout the visit. We have been to many areas on the Florida coast and this by far, is one the best.
This unit is spacious for a couple, nicely decorated and well stocked with everything needed. I recommend taking kitchen inventory prior to grocery shopping as some basic kitchen items are already there. The fewer grocery items needed means less trips up and down the stairs!
The location is superb, the unit was very clean and the views are beautiful! The owners (Josie & George) were very easy to work with in regards to booking the unit and provided excellent customer service before and during our stay.
All of the pictures listed represent the rental unit very well and everything was as expected. The beach is clean and we would walk each morning before it got too hot. The pool was wonderful and a great gathering place to meet new friends in the late afternoon. This is our 2nd visit to Anna Maria Island and our first stay at this property and my wife and I are likely to return and stay at this unit again the next time we visit AMI.

My wife and I were down in Anna Maria last year but wanted to stay at a different location with a pool. We booked this location based on reviews and talking with George, the owner. We kept asking questions about does it have this and that and George replied, "everything you need is there", and boy he was right. The location was perfect, the views of the sunset were stunning and the condo was clean and comfortable. George was very pleasant to talk with and was very prompt in all of our communications. He even followed up after we were in his place a day just to make sure everything was to our liking. To me that speaks good customer service. We will definitely be staying here again.
We spent our Easter vacation on Anna Maria in George´s and Josie´s Condo. It was perfect! Everything we needed was provided for us. A perfect equipped apartment and the owners take really good care for their guests. If you have any questions, they are answered immediately and they are very helpful.
If you love the beach and the sea, you can not find a better place to stay. The picture shows the view from the balcony, it´s only a few steps to the beach!
We have already booked the apartment for the next year.
