About Jeanne

My family moved here in 1994. There are many fun things to do here and we wanted to offer some of the best amenities that we have enjoyed in our travels. A Property Manager & Realtor, I also manage a couple of other Properties in Manitou to help travelers when they have a little larger group and/or wish to stay close to each other but not in the same house.

Jeanne purchased this cabin in 1994

Why Jeanne chose Colorado Springs

This Property feels very private but is easy walking distance to all the unique shops and restaurants of Manitou Springs. The cottage sits somewhat secluded from the road. Every effort has been made to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as you desire.

What makes this cabin unique

Location & Creature Comforts:

1. The Cottage is truly set up for your pleasure including a very largeJACUZZI tub with a brand tankless water heater so you never run out of hot water to A/C for our few really hot days. There is a REMOTE CONTROL FIREPLACE for cooler weather so come relax in comfort.

2. Some extras include a SHADY PATIO with plenty of outdoor seating. Come enjoy the view and stare at the stars at night. While inside, browse thru a few MENUS of local restaurants. You can preview your choices for dining before you journey out for Dinner.

3. You won't pay for parking. We have our own PRIVATE off- street PARKING with an extra space when guests have a special situation. We can accommodate a short motorcycle trailer or if you have friends coming to visit and need extra parking, we can probably meet those special needs that most properties can not. Just be sure and let us know your needs in advance.

4. The BREAKFAST FIXINS Bonus will be included with any 4 night or longer bookings May-October. With this bonus the Cottage will be stocked with a couple of juices, coffee, creamer, sugar, cereals, Pop Tarts, fresh fruit and a few other extras as well as condiments. All you need to bring is milk!

5. At the Springs is on the FREE SHUTTLE route that runs all over town year 'round so park your car and take a ride.

Perfect getaway in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful 4 nights in this beautiful little cottage in Manitou Springs. It's a short walk into town, which we took advantage of every day, and it was also only a short drive to many spots for outdoor activities (Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods). Jeanne was great to work with, and even left us some breakfast food. Would absolutely stay here again!

A long way up

  • 2 of 5

Although the cabin was true to the pictures, no mention was made about the two flights of stairs straight up from the street. There was not a hand rail all the way. If you are not used to the altitude, this may be a problem. The cabin was ok. Kitchen sink was tiny and difficult to wash any dishes - not a big deal since we ate out most of the time.

Owner's Response: There are stairs that are mentioned on the website and we have had guests up to 84 years young use them. This is a National Historic District so the front façade(stairs) can not be changed. This is after all a mountain town. Guests choosing to come to Colorado should anticipate mountains, stairs and not flat ground. The sink is small as mentioned. This cabin which is pictured has a kitchenette where everything is smaller. The refrigerator, the stove and even the microwave are of smaller scaIe. We are always glad to answer any questions and just wish folks with any questions would call to inquire before booking as we are not ideal for everyone but perfect for others.

Jeanne was so helpful. The cottage was an easy walk to so much and a centrally located drive to more. It was quiet, cute and a perfect get away!

Better Late Than Never!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in May of 2015! I cannot recall the owner's name but she was so nice! This place is so quaint and cozy. We married in Woodland Park and stayed here so that we were close to the darling Manitou Springs markets but also reasonably close to the mountains. And I am an avid runner (fitness freak) and I was in walking distance of Barr Trail and my favorite incline. We WILL be staying here again and again!

We enjoyed our stay in Colorado. The cottage is charming as well as Jeanne, the inn keeper! Perfect location to all the main attraction in the Colorado Springs area. We had enough parking for our motorcycle and our vehicle. We enjoy scenic drives during the day and came back to a cozy and confrontable cottage for a good nights rest. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay perfect.

Thank you Jeanne!

Owner's Response: Very few places in Manitou Springs have enough parking to accommodate a small trailer. With a phone call to book and a little advance planning, we can help guests have that ideal vacation with space for their trailer. For couples that prefer long distance travel in their SUV but want to explore the Rockies by motorcycle, we can assist and make that a reality. Once guests arrive, we can recommend day trips with good paved roads and wonderful scenery.

At The Springs was everything I hoped for and more when I was planning a surprise 2nd honeymoon for my wife.

Could not have picked a more perfect or picturesque setting. The innkeeper "Jeanne" was so nice. She had the kitchen stocked with fresh fruit, cereal, pop tarts and lots of other goodies. The cottage itself was perfect for my wife and I. (kitchen/sitting area, big bedroom with fireplace and the bathroom with 2 person jacuzzi tub (very nice) )!!!! There is huge gas bbq pit just outside the door for cooking anything you want. (don't know why the folks were complaining about the small stove. Just use the pit.) We did not have any trouble at all with the plumbing (maybe the people from the other review flushed something they shouldn't have). We didn't even turn on the tv, just looked out the window at the awesome scenery. Especially the 2 squirrels who seemed to have a game of "toss the acorn" going on every morning. It was also very nice to have our own "off street" parking spot as parking in Manitou Springs is at a premium. The one night it snowed, Jeanne had the walk cleared by 7am. Did I mention that she was great? The location is great also: Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, 7 falls, all the attractions are practically right in your backyard.

Anyway folks, if you're a couple looking for the perfect romantical (is that a word?) getaway. Do not pass on At The Springs. It will always hold a special place in our hearts and I know it will in yours too.
