The Cottage has 4 BRs 2 Baths; "in-law cabin" has double bed, bathroom & kitch
Overlooking picturesque Bartlett's Harbor, this secluded property, set
among spruce trees, wildflowers, and rocky ledges, includes a small
house plus an "in-law cabin." It offers two parties privacy but close
proximity: a lawn separates the two buildings by 50'. Access to two
beaches (rocky and pebble) and the pier, along a dirt road, is a
two-minute walk. Views of the harbor and the sunsets over the Camden Hills are breathtaking.
The Barnacle proper was completely renovated in 2016, with new picture windows taking advantage of the views. The first floor: the open living space includes kitchen and dining areas and opens onto a deck; new kitchen is fully equipped with quiet dishwasher etc.; full bathroom; one bedroom (dbl bed). The hand-made fish-shaped railings and open staircase lead to 2nd floor with 3 bedrooms (1 Queen, 2 twins, child's platform bed). The "in-law cabin" is a one-room efficiency, with a comfy double bed, kitchen area, bathroom, and washer-dryer. The in-law cabin also has great views.

About Katherine Allen
My elderly parents, Fred and Sue Allen, own the Barnacle, and I manage the rentals. They live in California, near UCLA. My dad's family has owned property on Barlett's Harbor since 1914, and they both continue to fly east each summer. Since I live closer, in NJ, tenants can contact me easily. I am a piano teacher. My husband and I have a teen-age son, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Katherine Allen purchased this Cottage in 1960
Why Katherine Allen chose North Haven
My grandfather was a sculptor, and he was part of an artists' colony on Bartlett's Harbor.
