About Elizabeth Solomon

Hi from Liz & Joe, the owners of Last Frontier Cabin. We're from Alaska and live on the Kenai Peninsula. Our family lives in Brookline just across the road from the cabin at Windmill Hill Alpaca Farm & Artisanry. And although the Alpacas no longer reside at the farm, you can still a find a variety of new alpaca knit products made from locally produced yarn. Also at the same location (new in 2014) is the Fire Belly Farm CSA, so please visit the seasonal farm stand for your fresh produce needs!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thanks for an absolutely wonderful week at your place. The cabin is amazingly beautiful...we took several trips out to various towns yet spent many long hours in the cabin, happily greeted by that unique smell of the wood....you really have something special and we are happy to have stayed. Thank you so much for the flowers that greeted us! It was a honeymoon to remember and the stay made our marriage that much more special....Five stars for the Last Frontier Cabin!

We had such an enjoyable time at the cabin and hope to return sometime. Everything was as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. A wonderful home away from home. Thank you for letting us stay in your cute cozy cabin. We loved it!

Gorgeous cabin on peaceful property

  • 5 of 5

This pretty cabin sits on a large meadow with mountains and hills for views. We took the weekend away for ourselves. Eating our meals on front porch overlooking Putney Mountain was such a treat. We didn't want for anything as the cabin had everything we needed. The property was pristine when we arrived with fantastic communication from Liz.

What a terrific way to spend our 14 year anniversary!

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay! Sounds like the weather cooperated and you were able to enjoy the surroundings. Have a happy anniversary - we will be celebrating ours there soon as well (we were married at that cabin before it was finished!). Take care, and hope to have you out again some day.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was everything my family and I hoped for! Rustic, clean, beautiful, and peaceful are the best words to describe it. We loved the local hiking trails and the tiny towns in the area. It was within an hour to some of our favorite destinations: waterfalls, the Timber Ripper coaster at Okemo resort, the Vermont Country Store in Weston, Hogback mountain. The cabin itself offered all the comforts of home. It was love at first sight, really!

Quiet and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

Our small family of 3 spent an amazing 4 days at the Last Frontier Cabin. It is so quiet there, with beautiful views and nothing to do but relax! The cabin itself was very clean, had a well stocked kitchen for cooking, and also had a great selection of DVDs to watch! My son loved the loft area, he spent time reading and relaxing up there. We will definitely be back!
