We are so glad we found your house on the web. It was a fun time. We fished and caught a couple bass and a lot of blue gill. The pontoon we rented was extra nice; we tubed and had a blast.
The pool table was fun and we even had smore’s around the fire. We did it all here!! Didn't want to leave this place.
We'd love to come back and plan too. Thanks a bunch!!! Nancy & Doug M.
We had a great time in this beautiful home. We enjoyed the spacious deck and the hot tub. The private dock was awesome. We rented a boat at Prairie Creek Marina and brought it back to the dock. We couldn't ask for a better place or location. We will hopefully return someday!!
Thanks Steve for your hospitality!!!!!
Absolutely loved our stay at Cedar House on Moonlight Bay! The house had everything we needed, it's beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bay was quiet except for an occasional boat. We swam a lot from the dock and usually felt like the bay was our private (very large) swimming pool. In the evenings my husband and I and
3 teenagers actually played games and did puzzles instead of turning on a TV. If the the nights had been cooler we would have loved to use the hottub or the outdoor firepit. During our stay we rented a boat for a day, ziplined in Eureka Springs, hiked near the incredibly scenic Buffalo River, and toured a local cave. Be sure to check out nearby Hobbs State Park to see what they have to offer. We were lucky enough to go on a full moon kayak tour with them. The owner responded quickly to my many emails with questions about everything from the house to the surrounding area. Talulah's Outfitter and Deli is very convenient option right down the road for sandwiches or icecream which came in handy more than once.
Our stay was everything we had hoped it would be when we planned our family vacation. The house is gorgeous, spacious and modern. The boat dock became a playground for our children aged 12 to 28!!! Perfect for a family getaway and for making memories. The kitchen was awesome, my daughter and I had a blast baking and cooking our meals and just visiting with each other. The owner was very helpful and most accommodation from the time we booked until our departure. The only suggestion I have to anyone who might stay is to make sure you call ahead for boat rental. The locals were completely booked! This area is beautiful. We will definitely return!!!
This is our third stay at Cedar House and it won't be our last. The house is comfortable and well-stocked and the owner is readily available if you have any problems. There are plenty of places to hang out together or find a private place on one of the decks to be alone. We love riding the golf cart through the trees on "Snake Road" down to the dock and relaxing/swimming by the lake. My favorite thing of all is watching the sun set over the lake while the martins come home to roost at the birdhouse on the dock. Rogers is close by for stores and restaurants and Eureka Springs is a nice hour ride away for a tourist spot. Absolutely wonderful place to get away from it all in the Ozarks.
This is our third stay at Cedar House and it was charming as always. Very comfortable, well-stocked house in a beautiful setting. We love all the spots on the decks that you can hang out together or find a quiet spot to be alone. We love riding down to the dock in the golf through the woods on " Snake Road" and relaxing/swimming on the dock. And the best thing of all is watching the sun go down over the lake while the martins come home to the birdhouse on the dock for the evening. The owner is always available if you have any problems or concerns. Absolutely a wonderful place to get away from it all.
We had such a great stay at this vacation home in Arkansas. I don't even know where to begin. First, I was so impressed by how well equipped the kitchen was. We have stayed at so many homes where basic kitchen items were lacking or it was evident that the cookware, bakeware, etc. was whatever had been discarded from the real "home." This kitchen had everything we needed and it was all in great condition. It made preparing meals a joy as it should be when you're on vacation as opposed to being frustrated and stressed by having to make do with what's on hannd. The house was so clean, absolutely impeccable. Access to the home, even with a security system, was easy and convenient. It was evident that a great deal of time and attention went into preparing the home for guests and we appreciated it so much. We would highly recommend this home for a great get-away. The lake is beautiful and can be viewed from the home. Even with other homes in the area, this location offers seclusion, privacy, great views, and overall, a lot of comfort. The hot tub was great. We roasted marshmallows in the evening, fished during the day, visited Eureka Springs, visited a local cave site, and also visited the big cat refuge which we would highly recommend. There lots to do whether you leave the house or not. Great reading material at the home too. The best compliment we can perhaps give this vacation home is that we would LOVE to return, especially when we can stay longer.
