Description

Bow House Rental Photos and Description

House, 1 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 9 Sleeps

Park yourself right on the beach for a quiet relaxing winter weekend or summer week.

For ease of travel, Samish Island is on the non ferry side of the San Juan Islands, located midway between Seattle Washington and Vancouver British Columbia.

Whether relaxing on the couch or hammock, cycling the valley or hiking Chuckanut Mountain, you will enjoy views north to Lummi Island and Vancouver, B.C., west

to Orcas Island and east to Chuckanut Drive and Mount Baker.

The cabin is rustic and old but comfortable for most people. There is no internet or cable so you will need to be able to unplug to enjoy your stay.

The cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, and a small room tucked behind it with a

bunk bed. In the large main living area there is 1 queen and 2

double fold out sofas. There are memory foam pads for one of the

hide a beds.

We do have a No Pets policy. Thank you.

funky beach cabin with amazing views and beach

  • 3 of 5

Rustic, charming, funky, but comfortable with amazing views just feet from the water. Perfect for walking on the beach, kayaking, and bird watching. Blue heron, seals and an occasional eagle. Great quiet area. Tide goes out forever! Great for local day trips - Bow/Edison, Taylor Shellfish, hiking,... A great deal for the money! Kitchen has all you need. Surprisingly big - cheap family get away or cozy for a couple.

Fantastic Unplugged vacation

  • 5 of 5

If you love to be in a place with fantastic views, access to great kayaking, biking and just a time to relax this is a great place. It is simple but well equipped, like the family cabin it is. You can take your kayak out right in front of the house or take advantage of other water sports ( perfect place to paddle board). Its quiet and private and a great place to read, play games, listen to music and watch dvds. But you aren't far from great restaraunts (The Oyster Bar), fresh oysters on Samish Island (Blau Oyster Co nearby) or things to do Bellingham, if you need to have urban activities.

We hope to come back.

very relaxing with spectacular views

  • 4 of 5

Our family was in Burlington for a funeral (my wife's father). It was so nice to just relax and swim in the front yard right on the water. There were ample tables and chairs in front for family members coming and going. We spent 90 percent of our time in the front yard. On one morning there was a spectacular sunrise which we got once in a lifetime photos of. And most evenings were impressive sunsets as well. The house was comfortable having all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay again if I return. Great private location.

Old Cabin on the water at Padilla Bay

  • 3 of 5

The 60 year old cabin is equipped with all the things you need for fun at the beach. You have a panoramic view of the bay from the huge cabin windows, and from the hammock you can see most of Mount Baker ! We went clam digging and dug our limit pretty quickly, we used the hammoch, fire pit and walked up the beach to Blau's seafood store. I recommend taking a 20 minute drive to Taylor's shellfish farm across the bay, oysters, clams, mussels.. ummm good.

Amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay for Thanksgiving, cooking delicious food in this well equipped cabin. Waking up with an amazing view of the water a few feet away makes this cabin so special. This place is rustic but nothing is missing. Large living room, lots of sofas to relax, fireplace and all, we definitely enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
