Sweet and cozy getaway
This cabin is so cozy and cute it’s hard to describe. The historical significance of this type of cabin and the fact that it was hand built are awe inspiring. We loved the “off the grid” feeling of no cable or internet, although we took full advantage of the movie selection. The kitchen is very well equipped, a great sound system, clean and lovely beds, the amazing fireplace, and of course the hot tub, were the highlights. Brad even let us do a late checkout when we heard there would be snow Monday morning. We will be back soon!
So happy that you enjoyed your stay and appreciate the old historical cabin as much as we do!
clean, cozy, family friendly
We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is beautiful. Brad was a great host- called the cabin daily to see if there was anything we needed. Our children loved the toy chest and games. We look forward to staying there again.
Leaky roof...but this trip was lots of fun.
Roof replacement happening this Spring-Summer, it's time! Thanks.
A wonderful winter experience in itself! Comfy beds, clean yet rustic, and lots of movies and games. Having no wifi was a bonus. Close enough to enjoy Timberline, Government Park, the Snow Bowl, and the Summit. I highly recommend!
I'm pleased you all enjoyed your stay, thanks for the comments!
Unique and Perfect Location
This cabin is a wonderful place to stay when up at Mt. Hood, especially with a larger group of people. The place feels like home and has everything that you would want when staying at a cabin. It is definitely unique and I would love to visit there again. Ski bowl was only a 15 minute drive and meadows was about a 30 minute drive, and there is a small grocery store that is walking distance. The location made the stay even better.
Thanks Diana! So glad you enjoyed your stay, come again soon!
Authentic log cabin in a lovely setting
We very much enjoyed our stay at Laughing Bear. It had all the ambiance and amenities that a historic log cabin should have. Its a bit rustic, but we didn't mind that at all. The owners were very easy to work with. We look forward to returning soon.
We're pleased to hear they enjoyed their stay and appreciate the natural settings of this historical log cabin. We would like to share out cabin with those who also appreciate these lovely rustic cabins!
