Beautiful 2 bedroom log cabin, on a bluff, overlooking Whitefish Bay-
Lake Superior. The entire cabin has been lovingly restored and
updated. Knotty pine walls, wood and stone floors, Kraftmaid kitchen
with island, Amish log beds, log and stone tables, gas woodstove,
local art, very cute. Wake to the sound of waves kissing the shore.
Have bonfires at night. Make sure to look up at the incredible sky. You do not see skys like this downstate. Stars are magnifecent. Go to the Lower Taquanemon Falls and rent a boat to walk through the falls for a truly unique experience. Cap off the day with a great dining experience at the Upper Falls Brewery. Or go to Whitefish Point Museum, then watch freighters go by the point as you skip stones on the beach, make sure to bring a picnic with you, kites are always fun too, or if you like sunsets, this is the place. Grand Marais and Pictured Rocks are great day trips. Or go four wheeling on miles and miles of beautiful trails. Pick blueberries in Jul, Aug, and sometimes still in Sept. Or you can just relax. Open June through October.
We live in Texas and have visited Northern Michigan many times but this was our first visit to the UP. We were so impressed with the area that we have decided to purchase retirement property there so we can return as often as we like. My wife and I stayed in the cabin for three nights during September and we were thankful to be able to have the option of having our dog stay with us as well. The location, setting and amenities were more than we expected. While we visited the stores in town, it was more out of curiosity than of need. The cabin was stocked with everything needed to stay long term and had plenty of room for the two of us and our dog. If you like to eat Whitefish, you have got to eat at Browns in town. They catch their fish daily and prepare it just right either fried or broiled. On one of our evenings as we were sparking up the grill to prepare our dinner, we had the privilege of seeing a bald eagle land and take off from one of the trees on the property. Truly an amazing sight to behold. We visited the falls, the brewery, Whitefish Point and the Ship Wreck Museum but enjoyed our time at the cabin overlooking the bay most of all..
Our family of 4 recently stayed at this cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The views of Whitefish Bay are simply stunning! I took many sunrise pictures as you just can't beat them there. If you want to see freighters on their way to and from the Soo Locks, this is the place to be! One of the days we were there, we spotted 6 ships and they were so fun to watch. Lisa and George were great about suggesting places for our family to visit via email and in person when we arrived. The beach was the perfect place for our 8 and 9 year old boys to play and if it were up to them, we would have never left there to take in other sights! The location was perfect and we found the little grocery store in town to great for those things that we happened to need/forget from home. This was a great place to spend a week!
My husband and I stayed here for a week while on our honeymoon recently. We both love exploring the UP and Lake Superior and all the area has to offer and we were astonished to see this cozy cabin perched on the cliff overlooking the bay. The views were amazing including sun rises that wouldn't end. To be able to leave the windows open at night and listen to the water hit the shore was complete heaven. Inside, the cabin was cozy and perfect for the two of us. Our hosts, George and Lisa, were very accommodating, leaving us a little bottle of wine to celebrate our nuptials, and despite a communication snafu during our stay regarding some work being done on the property, they were nothing but gracious and kind to us. If you are looking to escape to your own little corner of the UP, this is the place to go.
This cabin was so amazing. My experience in renting this cabin was amazing from the start, from setting up the dates of rental with the Lisa, to staying the week at the cabin, I felt comfortable and stress free. Our stay at the cabin was great. So quiet and relaxing. The stairs to the beach area are a bit much, but that did not stop us from enjoying the brisk water on the warm days. The layout of the cabin was great. Even without ac, the breeze that came through the home was amazing. The views around the rental were unbelievable. I took so many photos, and spent much of my time there enjoying the views of Lake Superior. The town of Paradise was quaint. The cabin was not far from town at all which was extremely convenient. I never wanted to leave! I recommend this rental to everyone, and my family and I will definitely be staying at this cabin again.
Thank you Georgoff family such an amazing place to stay!
Paradise and serene place. I would give this cabin 10 stars if I could. The owners Lisa and George make our stay comfortable and pleasant. I have fall in love with UP and this charming cabin. The view on lake from the bluff was beautiful. And I have to mention...it is pet friendly. I have always travel with my two Pappilions, and I appreciate the possibility to stay with my pops there.
Thank you, I hope to visit this exceptional place soon.
Jozefa and family.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was clean, centrally located to everything we had planned to do. The view of Whitefish Bay was awesome and very private. Any cleaning supplies needed were provided and they pay attention to detail. Wood for bonfires to extra rolls of paper towel. Was very pleased. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your little piece of paradise!
