6 Bedroom, 4.5 Bath With 100 Feet Of Private Lakefront And Landscaped Grounds
About Lauren Landis
Our family has been a part of the Lake Sawyer community for over 40 years as both a resident and a local business owner. As we no longer use our house as a primary dwelling, we have decided to share our home with others.
Lauren Landis purchased this House in 1994
Why Lauren Landis chose Black Diamond
Our family has called Lake Sawyer home since 1967. The lake is very near to our hearts and our hope is that we can provide an accommodating space for our guests to make memories and experience the beauty and adventure that Lake Sawyer has to offer.
What makes this House unique
Lake Sawyer is a gem in our community. The lake provides both adventure and peaceful views. There are designated daily speeding hours where you can pick up the pace and tube, ski and wakeboard. At any time of the day, you can go fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming or take a boat cruise to see the beautiful scenery. The house conveniently has a private dock with a covered space to park your boat. At the end of the day you can sit on the deck and BBQ a meal while watching your kids play in the lake below or make a bon fire beside the lake while watching the sunset. The house sits on over an acre and the backyard is great for a game of croquet.

peaceful close to nature and urban life
Really enjoyed this property. Enough place to spread out in, but big enough to join together in the inside dining room table and on the outside decks. Kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and cutlery and dishware. We cooked a lot for our group. The water was especially soothing and enjoyable. Only problem were some septic issues that were quickly resolved by a phone call to the owner. Many trips into Seattle, but also a wonderful trip to Mount Rainier were possible from this location.
You can tell from that one word what this review will say. The house was phenomenal. First, let’s start with the gorgeous view. 100 feet of lakefront, yet private, with towering trees on either side so you didn’t feel you were in the neighbor’s yard. The entire property was beautifully maintained, generously appointed with everything we needed. Well, the weather could’ve been warmer, but I’m fairly certain that’s not within the owner’s control. Speaking of the owner, we had two questions that popped up on different days, and she was immediately responsive, so adding those times with the check-in and check-out process, communication was top-notch. The house itself had large, beautiful and well-appointed common areas, and the bedrooms allowed for plenty of privacy, with some upstairs, some on the main level, and some downstairs. It was perfect for extended family. The parking area was enormous, so that helped a ton with the comings and goings of all of the wedding activities.
All in all, a perfect stay!
Really enjoyed our stay even though the weather wasn't perfect.
The spacious home and games etc. made it fun for all ages.
We really enjoyed this place. Plenty of room for everyone and to enjoy the outside, when it’s nice that is.
Perfect setting, modern, roomy, nicely decorated, well stocked, and convenient !!!
Fantastic spot for our big family gathering
Kids, parents, and Granny were all very comfortable in this lovely property. Rooms were spacious, very clean with all needed amenities.
Black Diamond and the surrounding Maple Valley area is a suburb of Seattle that displays the true beauty of the Pacific Northwest. While Lake Sawyer offers plenty of adventure right out the front door, there are also many other attractions nearby. Go golfing at one of the 5 golf courses within 10 miles of the house including Druids Glen and Washington National. Go to a concert at the White River Amphitheater that is only 15 miles away. Go snow skiing at Snoqualmie Pass or Crystal Mountain that are both only 50 miles away. Take a day trip to Seattle and visit the Pike Place Market or even attend a Mariners, Seahawk or Sounders game during your stay. Go hiking at Tiger Mountain in Issaquah or at the Mt. Rainier National Forest.
