Serene tropical comfort in your own private studio, just steps away from 1 of the top 5 best beaches in the world. Here you can walk for miles on a white, sandy beach or go wind surfing, kite sailing, boogie boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, or swimming. Kailua beach is truly special.
The Tropical Breeze studio boasts garden views, tropical tradewinds and the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. Come and enjoy the aloha spirit and warm sunshine.
The studio has high ceilings with a tropical-designed decor, a large queen size bed, a sitting area, a kitchenette, and a large airy bathroom. This is truly island living at its finest. Your own private entrance, parking and large yard, which is great for a picnic or barbecue. This studio is air-conditioned with the newest eco-friendly unit, plus solar heated water for the extra large walk-in shower. As an added bonus, our studio offers island espresso, beach chairs, beach towels as well as an outside barbecuer.
The studio is located on a private lane with a private gate to access Kailua beach. The walk from the studio to the beach is very short. You truly cannot get any closer to the beach. Unless, of course, you were looking at beach-front properties ;)
Again, aloha spirit, warm sunshine and a clean beautiful beach. What else could you ask for during your next Hawaiian vacation?
We hope to meet you soon. Aloha!

The Good: a short path walk to one of the world's nicest beaches, the location is ideal.
The accommodation is a good size for 2 adults, particularly the bathroom. The adjacent yard is well-kept and private, although there is another rental property sharing the space. Might have been different had there been screaming children running around. Parking available and the neighbourhood was very quiet. This was a great place to spend a week of R & R. We did not use the pool - in fact we didn't see anyone use it - but it looked nice. Washer and dryer right outside the door came in handy. We didn't use the air con so can't comment.
The Bad: kitchen is very small, so don't plan to cook much. The mattress and bedding could use and upgrade - not exactly hotel grade. I would recommend new pillows and comforter. TV was smallish. Place was very dated. Biggest issue was the musty-smelling carpet. Who puts carpet in a beach house? We left the windows and doors open as much as possible but the carpet needs to go.
Verdict: Good value and strengths outweigh shortcomings. Location is the key to this relaxing apartment. We will visit again.
Amazing beach just in a few steps from your door. Nice Hawaiian style studio. You'll have everything you need to relax and enjoy the spirit of the island. Thanks Joanie for sharing this place
This was our second stay at the tropical breeze celebrating our 45 th anniversary. Again I have to say how amazing the piece of paradise is. The room takes me back to a time as a toddler at my grandparents home in lanikai. So much old Hawaiian character to the room. We live it here and will be returning next year two times. I'm back in the mainland now and miss the sounds of the ocean at night and birds in the morning. Don't forget to get your shave ice at island snow. We've stayed at 3 different places in 6 years and this is the best place. Joanie is a wonderful host. Until next year aloha
This place is all that is described by Joanie and Lori. It is amazing, peaceful, great location to the beach, no busy traffic, quiet, you can hear the birds and ocean. This was our third time staying at a vrbo in kailua and by far THE BEST! The tropical breeze cottage inside was like being at home but not. It has everything you need and more. Joanie is such a gracious host and a beautiful spirit. We love it here and will return on our future visits.

My husband & I stayed at Tropical Breeze for our honeymoon...8 nights. It was wonderful and exactly as described. The owner was very friendly. We had our privacy. The beach was a very short walk down a pathway. Kailua beach is absolutely perfect. We explored the island and still felt that Kailua beach was the best with the most perfect sand. We snorkeled down the road at Lanikai Beach.
I loved the bathroom. It is spacious and has a big shower. It was nice to have the washer & dryer to use. There were plenty of towels, wash clothes, etc. Also, beach chairs, mats, beach towels, ice chest, etc were available to use. The bed was very comfy and there was plenty of storage space. We used the pool once which was nice. I would definitely like to stay here again. Since it was our first time to Hawaii, we did alot of sight-seeing and exploring. Next time, I would like to do more relaxing at the beach that is just a few steps away from this place. Hope to be back some day.
We had a great stay at the Tropical Breeze. The info listed on the VRBO site was very accurate and the photos really did represent the property as it is. The beach is a very short walk across the street down a private path. The beach is one of the nicest on all of Oahu.
You are located in a quiet subdivision with good access to Kialua just a short drive. If you want to travel to Honolulu, it is a quick trip over the mountains, (traffic permitting) and you are in the heart of the city in no time.
We spent 2 weeks at the TB, and it was perfect for the 2 of us. The room is large with a nice queen bed, plenty of storage, a small kitchen area, and a large refrigerator. The bathroom is large with a big walk in shower. There is additional storage in the bathroom if you need more places to put things away. Seriously, the bathroom is as big as many of the cruise ship rooms that we have stayed in.
You also have outdoor facilities of table, chairs, a grill, and a private pool. It really makes you feel like you have a private residence on the islands when your rent the Tropical Breeze.
I was a bit concerned reserving a place online, 4000 miles away having never seen it. It is a great place. So leave your worries at home and enjoy your visit to the Tropical Breeze.
We will be sure to rent it again, the next time we are visiting Oahu.
