About Tania Castleberry

We are a family of 4 who live in Atlanta, GA. I am Tania and I manage the property for our family. I was born and raised in Florida in Miami and Panama City. I have always dreamed of my own place at the beach and my dream came true when we purchased Neptune's. It is small but has the best access to the beach without being on the beach. It was affordable for our family to make this investment and we have enjoyed every year! We remodeled the unit in 2005 to make it the best possible use of every square inch. The loft was added to add extra bed space for our twin boys and make sure 6 people can sleep in beds! No sofa beds in our unit---we think they are the worst to sleep on. Come and try our little place at the beach.

Tania Castleberry purchased this condo in 2004

Why Tania Castleberry chose Florida

Great location and great pricing. You are really looking at the gulf from outside the front door---only 300 feet to the waters edge without the high price.

Please note we do not break up weeks in peak season. We only rent Sunday to Sunday, Sunday to Friday or Fri and Saturday. No exceptions. May 20 thru August 30 2015

What makes this condo unique

Easy one level building no flight of stairs!

BEST condo on SGI!

  • 5 of 5

We have been to SGI and stayed at different houses and also a hotel on the island, and NOTHING beats this place. We took our 9m old daughter for her first vacation and just enjoyed a week of the beach. The beds are so comfortable, the place was super clean, and the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything you'd need to feel at home. We've never stayed at a house that provided beach chairs and an umbrella, but this place did! It is literally RIGHT across the street from the steps that take you to the beach, and a very short walk to a few restaurants and shops. We only used the bottom 2 bedrooms, but the loft up top with 2 twin beds would be perfect for older kids. The pool was wonderful, especially with the fence and plants blocking most of the cold wind! Also, the owners were very accommodating. We were able to (at the last minute) change our check in day/time as we were driving through the night to get there. The only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer! :) 10/10 we would recommend this condo to anyone! We will certainly be back!

Mini-reunion weekend.

  • 4 of 5

My husband, me, my cousin and his wife met my brother who was coming from Gulf Shores, AL at Neptune's Palace for the weekend. La Playita was more than we expected. Decorated in happy beach style, it was well stocked and very clean. Everything was in good condition. We will be back next year! We bought wonderful shrimp from Doug's Seafood Truck and we ate at The Beach Pit the first night and The Blue Parrot the second night. I would return to the Beach Pit since it was cheaper and the food was better than at Blue Parrot.

Dark and Smelly

  • 3 of 5

Best part of accommodation was the close access to the beach. Worst part was darkness of space...no windows in living room:kitchen area, very moldy smell, faded couches.

Perfect for a weekend getaway!

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here in Oct 2016 with my 9-yr-old daughter and my mother for a couple of nights, and would definitely recommend to others, and would stay here again given the chance. Everything about the property was just as expected/advertised, and was the perfect size (and price) for the 3 of us, although it could sleep 6 comfortably. The location is great, with beach access literally right across the street. However, I highly recommend driving down to the state park (10 minutes) and paying the day fee ($6) to visit the beaches there, which are much nicer. A pod of dolphins swam by while we were out swimming...just amazing! But go early in the day, as the flies in the afternoon this time of year are almost unbearable, even with bugspray (unless you're IN the water). We visited the lighthouse and ate out at several local establishments, and had a great meal each time. Everything about renting this property was easy, and the owner was very quick to answer any questions I had. We had trouble getting the cable to work on the living room TV, but it worked fine in both the bedrooms, and we weren't there to watch TV anyway. The wifi worked great, which kept my daughter content. Overall, a great experience for the money.

Great spot for our first beach trip with baby

  • 5 of 5

We took our daughter on her first trip to the beach, and were very pleased with the condo. The complex is small and quiet, we only saw one other family while we were there and had the pool to ourselves for the most part. The condo was clean and well appointed, the kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils, knives, and cookware. We also used the charcoal grill one night, which worked fine. I did wish the condo had more natural light in the main living area, but we weren't inside very much. The proximity to the beach was great, close enough to haul our baby-gear easily and run back inside when we forgot something or ran out of beach drinks. We also walked to "town" one day, so overall the location is fantastic. Thanks for a great stay!

and enjoy without the crowds. Watch dolphins playing while standing

on the beach. Even during peak summer season you feel you have the

island to yourself.

Enjoy just basking in the sun, swimming, fishing, exploring or

camping all on the island. You'll never go back to the crowds in

nearby beaches once you experience St. George Island...truly

the 'Uncommon Florida'.

Enjoy safely riding, running, cycling the length of island on a
