|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
The Pelican Point is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath Lake of the Ozarks Vacation Rental that was built with native cedar log and has 2 levels of full length decking. These decks carry tables/seating for 10 minimum along with hammocks and a gas grill. Although the Lake of the Ozarks boasts many great sunset locations, not many will compare when you add the quiet that will surround you here on the Little Niangua Arm.
Main Level- This is where you will enter the beautiful modern log home and where you find the living room, kitchen, dining, bedroom with king size bed and one full bath. The gas grill is just outside the dining area exterior door. Warehoused in the kitchen are all the cooking and eating utensils you'll need during your relaxing stay. Just bring food and drink!
Lower Level- Explore here for the other two bedrooms, both with queen size beds. Also on this level there is a living room with TV, VCR, DVD and a pull out queen size sofa sleeper, so the home sleeps 8. All the bedrooms in the house have lake views, closets and night stands - the two lower level bedrooms each have a dresser. The second full size bath and laundry room with large capacity washer/dryer found their way to this level also.
This home is perfect for your stay in a Lake of the Ozarks Vacation Rental!
For stays during the cooler months there is a wood burning fireplace in the living room on the main level.
On the water side, a private covered boat dock with a slip that measures 10 X 26 and also has a swim platform and ladder. The owners hope you enjoy your stay!!
There are also many great activities to enjoy on the Little Niangua Arm of the lake such as fishing, boating and canoeing. These homes are ideal for family getaways and just enjoying time with family.
With approximately 2000 sq.ft. of living space this log home is ideal for vacationers or use in conjunction with another 3 and a 4 bedroom log home for larger groups.
Kevin built the Pelican Point Log Home in 2003. This home has been a vacation rental since the day it was fully constructed. We love living at the Lake of the Ozarks and meeting and greeting all the new guests and also all of the wonderful familiar faces we get to see year after year.
Kevin & Karen Fehrmann purchased this house in 2003
This property is in a great location for swimming and skiing. It is on a very quiet arm of the Lake where families can relax on the dock and watch their kids swim without the worries of big boat traffic. You can actually water ski right in front of your own dock. The home is immaculately clean and spacious. It is just waiting for you to come and make great vacation memories with your family and friends!
The unique benefit of this house is that it is a REAL log home made of cedar logs constructed by the owner himself. The other unique feature of this home is it's location. It is far enough away from all the commotion but close enough to enjoy everything the lake has to offer.
We were fortunate enough to stay at Kevin and Karen's Sunset View home from June 23rd to June 27th. The thing I noticed upon our arrival was that the internet photos did not do this lake house justice! Our favorite place was the patio. We really enjoyed getting a fire going in the fire-pit most nights, and a couple of mornings. The hammock was a favorite for our kids. Even though it was pretty warm while we were there, we were able to eat nearly all of our meals on the patio underneath the shade. We really loved the fact that all of the bedrooms were upstairs. That way the "early risers" could enjoy their coffee on the patio while the rest of the family was sleeping. We spent a great deal of time down at the dock too, swimming and catching some rays. Having electricity down at the dock was awesome because we were able to listen to music on our ipods the whole time we were there. Plus we even made homemade ice cream on the dock one night while we were swimming! Karen was kind enough to even meet us when we arrived and show us the best place to put our boat in the water and store our trailer. The only time we left Sunset View was when we traveled to Casa de Loco for some wine and wood fired pizza. I would definitely recommend that trip to all! We've stayed at several vacation homes around the country and would highly recommend Poco Risco Rentals and Sunset View lake home to all.
The Glades family and the Whitworth family
This was our 11th year coming to one of Poco Risco Rentals houses for an annual girls trip and each year we have THE BEST time imaginable! Besides the fact that the houses are clean, cozy and better than advertised- the owners, Kevin and Karen always do what they can to make sure our stay is perfect! We have stayed at both the LNG and the the Sunset View Home over the years and both are great!! All the homes are located in a quite, beautiful part of the lake where you feel like you have the whole lake to yourself! There is truly no better place to stay and we will continue to go back every year.
