Overview

About the property

Ranch home with 4 bdrms, 2 ba, sleeps up to 12

Maine has Frenchman's Bay, Massachusetts has Nantucket Sound, and Maryland has the Chesapeake Bay! Enjoy the ever changing panorama of spectacular sunsets, teeming wildlife, graceful sailboats, and impressive ships from a truly wonderful and historic location, Love Point! Located just 4 1/2 miles north of the Bay Bridge, we are 20 minutes to historic Annapolis, 40 minutes to Baltimore and 50 miles to Washington, DC.

This 2400 sq. ft. fully landscaped ranch home is situated on over 1 1/2 acres of land with 200' of shoreline. There is a dock with ladder for easy access to the bay which is ideal for boating, fishing and swimming because of its shallow waters and smooth, sandy bottom. Afterwards, soap up and rinse off in the wonderful hot/cold OUTDOOR SHOWER!!

The home interior is colorful and comfortable. A cathedral ceiling spans the kitchen/family room providing a delightful open gathering space to enjoy the fireplace and waterfront views. There are hardwood floors throughout, CAC, electric baseboard heat, ceiling fans. In addition to the Living room, family room, and porch there is also an outdoor front porch, and 60' back deck complete with several dining tables, loungers, and plants galore. Our yard is expansive yard with shade trees. Contemporary fabrics mix happily with antiques and hand painted furniture which the owners have collected on the eastern shore and abroad. There is a 46' HDTV and piano for music lovers. The finished basement serves as a space for additional beds and ping pong and foos ball tables. The adjacent lot provides ample area for the volleyball field, fire pit, privacy and space for our wildlife to roam - birds, bunnies and even a deer or two!

The house sleeps 4-6 people most comfortably, however, a 'dormitory' style room in the basement, works well for groups up to 12 attending weddings or family reunions in the area. There are:

.... 6 twin beds,

.... 2 queen size beds and

.... 1 king bed

A ping-pong table, toys and games provide entertainment on rainy days. Linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs providing a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, ice maker etc.

Come and enjoy! You will be delighted and refreshed.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This weekend with our whole family here on the bay has been wonderful - almost magical. This has been the perfect respite for my siblings and parents who all work in New York City.

Great Family Friendly Home

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for a relaxing long weekend with our daughter and her family. It's within 5 minutes of a number of restaurants and a great deli in town. The yard was perfect for the kids and the porch was even better for the adults to have cocktails and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

We spent 10 days on the bay and every single one of them was wonderful.

  • 4 of 5

It was a perfect place to spend my 70th birthday with my family. The deck provided hours of enjoyment relaxing with the boats going by, reading, card games, even some chess... and just hanging out - the wide lawn was perfect for the kids games. The dock was occupied a lot with fishing, although never did catch anything other than a few little ones that went back in. And two crabs in the traps. The only disappointment was that we were not able to get our boat to the dock to use it. That would have made it 5 stars:) Absolutely beautiful location. Paula was very easy to work with and always accessible.

Owner's Response: Thank you Susan for your review. I wish you had called me regarding docking the boat at our dock. Was it the sand bar which worried you? Our neighbor and friends just go around it since it is very short.

Relaxation with a Gorgeous Water View!

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a place by the water to "get out of the rat race" and just relax and boy, did we ever find it! Minutes away from the Bay Bridge, Annapolis and plenty of restaurants/groceries, etc, Paula's lovely home was an inviting respite. It's fully stocked kitchen, multiple sitting areas and oh, so ample comfy beds (can sleep 10+) without feeling cramped whatsoever is beautifully decorated in a very eclectic style reflecting her travels. The biggest draw is, however, the fantastic view of the water from inside the house or from the expansive decks/patios!! We could fish from the private dock, take a dip in the water or just have a cold drink and soak up the vistas of sun, sailboats and sea gulls. Most of our meals were casual and we used the great grill often. Although our visit was just a few days, it was "just what the doctor ordered" in terms of relaxing and we look forward to returning again!

Awesome waterfront property

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. The house has a large porch and backyard for lawn games, bbq-ing, etc, a fire pit, and dock right on the water. Paula was great about communicating beforehand and making sure everything was set for our arrival.

wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this house every summer for the past 3 - 4 years. We really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, and find the house has everything we need. This summer we were pleasantly surprised to see a remodel, including a new, modern bathroom and a second large eating area. The new shower is terrific. Paula is very responsive and will quickly answer any questions. This is the perfect house for a relaxing getaway.
