House rental 10/10/17-10/15/17

  • 4 of 5

Overall we enjoyed the property. The only thing we noticed is it was not very clean. The bathroom shower has mold around it and there was a lot of dust and spider webs around the house.

Love the area of Copake!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed staying near Copake Lake. We kayaked on the lake, went to Hudson for the day then visited the Norman Rockwell Museum in the Berkshires. Such a fun weekend! Thanks for letting us stay at your place!

Quiet and Spacious

  • 4 of 5

A great place to rest and refresh. A nice open kitchen, dining and living space. Comfy beds. Do nothing at all, relax by the lake or visit one of the many quaint nearby towns or farms. Don't forget the soft serve ice cream at Dad's Diner preceded by the freshest burgers and chicken wings you ever want to eat! Best of all was the unpretentiousness of the Duchess County Berkshires. Can't wait until next year! Thank you, Sandy.

Wonderful Weekend

  • 4 of 5

We spent from Sunday thru Wednesday at 1260 Lakeview Road on Robinson Pond. It was clean, spacious with plenty of room/beds for 6. The internet worked, TV was fine. We enjoyed using the bbq grill and rear picnic table. My boy caught fish off the doc. We saw James Taylor at Tanglewood (40 minutes away). All in all. It was a very nice weekend in a nice home. Money well spent.

Affordable, spacious and comfortable home

  • 3 of 5

This was an affordable and spacious home to enjoy for a long weekend with a large master bedroom and kitchen/dining/living room area. My kids enjoyed running from the home's downhill slope to the ponds edge and from inside, the pond looked gorgeous seen from the large living room window. The home was clean and bathrooms were in good condition and we felt comfortable with a sense of privacy even though there were neighbors homes close by on each side. There were some initial disappointments such as no working internet, phone service, satellite TV or microwave when we arrived but the owner was generally responsive when we addressed these issues, promptly resolved the Internet & phone issue the next day. It was also a bit off-putting to see some bedroom closets and kitchen drawers filled with the owners stuff and the computer desk area in a disarray. Nights were quiet except for some machine noise on the east side of the home, I suspect it was coming from some radon detection system in the basement. We enjoyed the living room area especially, made a fire and cooked both indoors and out although, the outdoor grill was a bit untidy. Aside from the issues mentioned, we were satisfied and enjoyed our stay in this home and love the Copake NY area.
