Lovely home and experience!
My guest and I has a wonderful time. I have stayed in many different places up north and this location was my favorite. The unobstructed views from the pool are gorgeous and such a beauty to wake up to. The pool is wonderful and the size is awesome. There is a lot of ground on this property for kids to run around and play. There is a large grass area as well where we had a kid and adult soccer game, super fun! And there is a beautiful garden with fruits and veggie that are beautiful and delicious! The house is very open with tons of windows and space. It has a great layout so you feel together with your guests but also have space. The layout of the kitchen is also nice too. Great for cooking while chatting with friends as it is a very open concept kitchen. The house had everything we needed from kitchen items to games, plenty of towels, etc. Although this house is secluded it is also only a short drive to grocery stores, downtown and restaurants which is super convenient. And lastly the owners were very communicative with me if I had any questions about anything or needed anything. They were very nice and accommodating. We loved this property and hope to stay there again soon.
Wonderful Weekend Getaway!!!!
We had a fantastic long weekend at this property. It's great for a large family. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy quiet time by the pool, in a hammock, strolling the garden, or relaxing on the deck.
My husband and I took a bike ride one day- there were plenty of good riding trails. The nearby towns are all lovely and quaint with plenty of options for dining, wine tasting, and shopping.
The Dean's home is absolutely stunning. The pool is probably the highlight of the property but the home itself was great as well. Everything was fully stocked and in great working order.
Our hosts were kind, responsive, and very helpful. I highly recommend this rental.
We'll definitely be back!
Gorgeous wine country getaway
We had an amazing time with our family at this beautiful home. It was a perfect summer getaway with all the amenities our family would possibly need - gorgeous pool, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful accommodations, even a blooming garden. We look forward to visiting this very special property for many years to come!
Thank you for your kind words and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Road's End Farm. We look forward to having you back soon!
Spectacular!!!!! Unquestionable 5 stars!
This house is in a word, spectacular. I stayed here with my bridesmaids the week of my wedding and we had the most wonderful time. So many rental homes have some strange weirdness to them that feels dark- this place has none of that. It has fantastic energy, bright light and clean, and the grounds just keep going. A beautiful vegetable garden and a killer pool! Christopher was so helpful and responsive to all of our needs and we felt so luxuriously taken care of. I cannot recommend this place more- I hope to have another reason to rent it very soon! thank you so much!!!!!
A Fantastic Extended Weekend Retreat
This Sebastopol home and grounds exceeded my expectations for our vacation. We are two families with kids ranging from 6-10 years old who spent an extended weekend in wine country to relax and disconnect from all things electronic, to reconnect with and enjoy time with the kids. Upon arrival, we were struck by the immaculate home and fantastic mid-century modern decor. This home afforded us all the necessary amenities: an amazing pool, a ping pong table, a trampoline, robust garden, fully supplied kitchen and spacious/functional living areas. There are many rooms to divide into for games, reading, and chatting; the deck and poolside have gorgeous views from which we enjoyed afternoon cocktails. The kids (and adults) were excited to watch wild turkeys, hawks, owls and many other birds as they made appearances on or above the property. When it came time to think about meals, we much preferred to stay and relax in the house, rather than head out to a restaurant. That said, we did explore a couple nearby activities: the town of Jenner to see the sea lions in the ocean and dip our toes in the base of Russian River, bike riding in Sebastopol, and an adults-only dinner at Underwood Bar & Bistro (delicious and within walking distance from the house). Although we didn't go wine tasting this trip, there are numerous wineries in town or a short distance away. All communications with the owners were straightforward and staying there was peaceful and easy. We definitely hope to return again!

The best sites for diving are along Highway One, north of Jenner. Gerstle Cove Marine Reserve, at Salt Point State Park, is an underwater park where marine life is protected and divers can hand launch small boats in the sheltered water. Sites along the Sonoma coast include: Fort Ross Reef, Fort Ross and North Fort Ross Cove, Timber Cove, Stillwater Cove, Ocean Cove, South Gerstle Cove, Gerstle Cove. Find more info on these locations on Resources page
Abalone Diving: The Sonoma Coast, along with the Mendocino coast, is the best place in the world for abalone diving. Each year thousands of divers converge on the coast and every year a few of them die. Big surf, rocky shorelines, strong undertow and currents, and great white sharks present a danger even to experienced divers. A license is required, which can be purchased at local country stores, and the daily limit is three red abalone, with an annual limit of 24. Only abalone seven inches or more in diameter can be taken. The season is April 1 through June 30 and again August 1 through November 30.
